No, I don't mean are you sticking with WOH versus taking up with Starriot, Hilton, etc. That's been discussed to death.

Are you holding a wake? Using your last DSU that's about expire (or would it need to be used tonight?)? Revisiting your favorite Hyatt? Burning your Diamond card, giving it a proper burial, or cutting it into tiny pieces to be scattered at sea or from a mountain top? Perhaps checking in at some mattress run place for one final welcome amenity?

Staying at a Sheraton. The change has pushed me to try Hilton, SPG and Marriott which I would never do before. Got to top tire in all three and surprisingly really loved my Marriott experience! Coming back to Hyatt on 3/1

Booking rooms realizing all programs change and that some people are pinched and others aren't.

Glad were only 12 months away from the whining to stop as all the diamonds who don't stay 60 nights finally move on with their lives. And more importantly have been aged out of the program.

The clock id ticking.

Wondering if the same tech genius will power WoH as did HGP:

Looking forward to 12 months from now for more space in the club lounges and knowing I'm not sharing my Hotel status with someone who just stays 25 nights a year, while I stayed 70+. I hate the name Globalist but I am happy there will be less of us at the top tier.

Makes you feel really special does it?

But you forgot about the soft landing (and probably another status match)...so you will be enjoying the lounge with those that haven't even stayed 25 nights for at least the next 2 years

And I'm pretty sure that the properties will be calling "elites" with attitudes like yours something else than Globs

If you think there will be more food for you, guess again. This is about reducing expenses, not about you.

Running down points in all programs (GP/WoH, SPG, IHG), simply to hedge bets on what they will be like by the end of the year. I am happy to forego some points earning in order to do that. C&P for Hyatt, outright points at SPG unless the rates are really low.
It does strike me that the best 'bang for buck' is IHG , even though I am only platinum in that program ( LTP in SPG, Hyatt Diamond). 160 +nights pa ( 75 SPG, 60 Hyatt, 35 IHG) is more than I want to do, one will have to go in 2018.

Be sad to see the end of a program that I truly have loved. But happy that I did 25 stay HP mattress run so that I can poke fun at Austin_Modern and Radiant_Flyer for at least 1 more year
