Grand Hyatt Dubai, I booked a standard room on points for 3 nights. Used a upgrade reward and in a beautiful premium Emiri suite. Value 3,000 aed a night! And I'm just on nothing on points. Lovely job.

Just finished 4 nights using points at the Andaz Maui and originally had applied a TSU to the reservation into an Andaz Suite. Upon check in they informed us that they upgraded us into a Pool Suite. After looking at the units patio area from the pool area, we decided we wanted more privacy and downgraded into a regular ocean view room on the third floor. Resort was busy during this spring break period and overall we were happy with our decision.

Out of curiosity - do you get your TSU back when you downgrade on-property like this?

That makes sense. WoH must apply the upgrade to a reservation as the property has no access to the awards. Conversely, WoH would have to return the award to your account.

Odds would be high that I would receive a complimentary upgrade upon check-in at a new hotel, but I have so many TSU to use... booked the HR Zurich Airport again and was confirmed in a Regency Executive Suite. As per the homepage this is the 2nd level suite of 4. On my recent stay I got a tour of the Regency Suite, the entry level suite.

Exec Suite is slightly larger and faces The Circle, whereas the Regency Suite faces the park

So I presume these 2 are classified as Standard Suites (not referred to on the home page yet)

May I ask when your stay is, as I thought that the suites are only ready per next month?

I'm jealous, would never think of using a TSU at an airport HR

Thanks, then it's in line with my information. And yes, totally agree with your review - really liked my first stay there, the opening was nice and calm, combined with excellent and attentive service of the team!

Mission Pacific Hotel - JdV

Hotel opened yesterday, so I could now get a suite confirmed. A TSU books either into the "Dreamscape Suite" or the "Bohemian Suite with Kitchenette"
https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/ca...ic/sanjo/rooms
there are smaller sized suites, was quite surprised to get one of these 894sqf rooms! very nice.
Unsure what the difference between the 2 suites really is. I called MHC and as per their internal rooms description, the Dreamscape Suite also has a kitchenette (which is not indicated on hyatt.com).
we'll see, I do not need the kitchenette, so booked the Dreamscape Suite for now, maybe the description is a mistake, given the hotel is still so new. looking forward to seeing some reviews.

Does anyone know if this is also true if using a paid rate plus point upgrade (3k for standard and 9k for premium)? Hyatt agent told me they had to be showing availability for full point rez.
