Many have found success in splitting it into two reservations.

For example say it expires on 2/29

Book 2/25 to 2/29 and another stay 2/29 to 3/2.

The hotel will most likely keep you in the same room the entire stay. That is your best option for a TSU expiring mid stay.

If you try to book it for the entire Stay it won’t work.

TSU got us in a Park Suite King. Wiki updated.
fantastic room, 100 sqm. corner room facing ocean on bedroom side, living room facing Stonetown and harbour.
Balcony gives 270° view. we had room 3321. unsure if all rooms have same view, as picture below is mirrored compared to ours.

Just wanted to provide the data point that, as of today, it’s still possible to use a TSU to confirm into a Beach Area Suite instead of the Lagoon View Suite at Andaz Mayakoba. The beach area suite is technically one category above the “standard” Lagoon View Suite — and phone agents/concierges will place you in the Lagoon View Suite by default unless you specifically request the Beach Area Suite when applying your TSU.

Not really sure where to post this...

so I received 4 TSU in 2019 for re-qualifying for Glob. I then received a further 4 TSU for achieving LT Glob.
End of February, I had a total of 5 remaining TSU with expiry date Feb 28, 2021.

now, on 1 March I received 4 additional TSU, and they have an expiry date of Feb 28, 2022

Is this due to being LT Glob or maybe Corona? Do others have this as well?

I believe those are the yearly 4 TSU's you get for being LT Glob. They probably have an extended expiration date due to the Coronavirus, which is my guess.
Also, you should of gotten another Cat 1-7 Cert for being LT Glob (unless it wasn't in your present screenshot as well)

yes, I did get the Cat1-7. The 2 year validity of the TSU surprised me.

I travel to the US or within Europe about 90% of the time.

Hope this is the right thread to post in, but haven't seen this issue posted elsewhere.

Anyone have any issue that the 50- and 60-night Suite Upgrade awards (and Club Lounge Access) that you earned in 2019 to use in 2020 are still expiring in Feb 2021 rather than Dec 2021? According to the COVID-19 Hyatt page:

"All unused Free Night, Suite Upgrade or Club Lounge Access awards with expiration dates between March 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 will be extended to December 31, 2021."

But aren't almost all suite upgrade awards expirations (and Club Lounge Access awards) outside of this date range? The ones you earned in 2018 would have expired in Feb 2020, and the ones earned in 2019 expire Feb 2021.

I'm personally hard pressed to find use for all the awards given the travel restrictions eating up most of the spring and likely summer vacation months, if not more. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate they extended the Free Nights, but these are very valuable for the aspirational vacations too.

I assume that Hyatt was careful to exclude these. It gives people a reason to try to get 60 nights again this year. And there is also the chance that Hyatt will choose to extend these at some point in the next few months.

They were definitely careful in their exclusion. Many people will also have Category 1-4 or 1-7 Certificates expiring between January 1st and February 28th that will not be extended. I believe a couple travel blogs reached out to Hyatt corporate about the TSU’s and were told Hyatt had no plans to make further extensions.

I don’t think TSU’s are a strong enough motivator for people to gain the momentum for 60 nights though. Especially considering that they’ve been given an extension to 2022 already. If Hyatt decides to do something extra for people who requalify this year then I think more people will requalify sans the extension though.

Yeah, it just seems a bit cheap since it's not helping out their most loyal 50+ night earners for the TSUs. Extending status and some free nights was nice, but that was for everyone. TSUs can be pretty big value (that's why they're the highest tier ofc). And what really rubbed me the wrong way is wording it like they were extending those awards when nearly all of them won't be.

Coming out of this whole pandemic I'd think you'd want people to be more motivated in 2021 to go for longer/expensive aspirational stays to combine with their TSUs, rather than possibly make them open to alternatives or stick with more conservative trips without them.

If you are like me and hate to waste something you’ve worked hard to earn, you will be pressed into thinking you should try and use them all before Feb 2021. I really had no intention of doing any kind of leisure travel with the family until next year, but I will see how things go and maybe see if I can use at least 1 of the 4 before they expire.

I have a one night booking at Hyatt Madeleine tonight.
Already saw yesterday in the App I had been upgraded to a Junior Suite (not a suite properly speaking but already nice).
Just saw I've now been upgraded to the Presidential Suite!
Very nice from them (they are not know to be generous with suite upgrades and don't accept TSUs) if confirmed later today at check in...
