you are near 100% in the clear that WOH will never claw-back a TSU post stay.
post stay, the fact you were accommodated in a suite would just look like an as-available-at-check-in suite upgrade.
feel free to use the TSU.

you are in a real 50-50 situation pre stay when the suite is confirmed and the TSU is not deducted.
as best as I can tell, WOH will figure out the missing TSU in the days/weeks before the stay if the suite room type is visible on your Hyatt.com reservation.
when found, the internal team will simply deduct a TSU without warning. if you don't have an available TSU, you'll get an email with options to free-up a TSU from a future reservation, downgrade back into the standard room, or convert the booking to a paid rate.

if the suite room type is not visible on your Hyatt.com reservation (which means that the suite is confirmed only in the local hotel system), I'd say you're 90% in the clear for a free, unsupported by TSU, confirmed upgrade.

Sure, but if they qualified in June, they will likely earn:
- Another 4 TSU for the remainder of the year (they hit 60 nights by end of June... presumably they'd get another 40 nights in the next 6 months and pick TSU for the 70/80/90/100 night benefit since they care about it so much)
- Another 4 TSU in 12 months (assuming they re-qualify at the same point, these will expire Feb '21)
- And again, presumably some number of additional TSU.

So for those counting along, someone like this would likely actually earn 12 TSU that are available for use over that 21 months. Even if you're not counting next years re-qualification, earning 8 TSU in your year that need to stretch over 21 months really shouldn't be a big deal.

Quick question.

Is my understanding that TSU's earned upon hitting 70/80/90/100 night milestones in 2019 expire at the end of February 2020 and not February 2021 (like the TSU's earned for re-qualifying Globalist) correct?

i waited to claim my 5th TSU from 70 nights in 2018 until the end of the 90 day clock on Mar 3 2019.

the TSU expires Feb 28 2021

Has anyone here had success applying a TSU to a Hyatt House property?

Also, I know that Hyatt Place properties are “Suite Award Ineligible Properties” but has anyone been able to use a TSU at an international HP? My experiences with HP properties internationally have been dramatically different so I thought it might not be impossible...

If you passed a threshold near the end of 2019, there's no way they could/would expire it just 2 months later...

Pretty sure that's what happened to my lone bonus TSU from last year.

Have already got the 70 and 80 nights TSUs ready to choose (either that or 10k points) with two more to come, and leaning towards points given their 2020 expiry.

I don't think that is correct.
I have 8 expiring Feb 28, 2020. And 4 expiring Feb 27, 2021.

I made a choice in mid-late March 2019 of a bonus TSU earned in 2018 and it gave me until Feb 2021.

Did you make your choice for the 8th one expiring Feb 28, 2020 before or after March 1 2020?

I got my 70 nights email 9/1/18. You get 90 days to make a choice, so it has to be before 2019

They give you 90 days. I’m guesding any that would expire in less than 12 months get a full extra year instead.
