According to the T&Cs, Globs only get free parking for stays using free night awards. Non-Globs don't get free parking at all. Of course, a particular property is able to waive parking charges if they want, or if they don't know better.

Yeah I've had charges waived at 3 diff properties. They didn't indicate such at check in but there was nothing at checkout. I think it's automatic for 100% award stays if it gets charged to room. The T&C's are such that you're right, it would be hard to argue it away if it was added.

Multiple vehicles

Does anyone have experience with parking multiple vehicles (charged to one room)? For example, if you rent multiple cars or receive a local visitor who drives in.

PH Chicago

Had a couple of nights at PH Chicago on points. At checkout was told the only thing I owed was valet parking. Front desk agent says that points stay is not an award stay and only award stays include parking. I clarified that she meant only cat 1-7 certs are award stays. After some back and forth she waived it as a "one time exception" but I think I was entitled to free parking as a globalist on a points stay. Was hoping to get some other opinions and clarification. Thanks!

The FD was definitely wrong on this one and it's probably worth a follow up to the hotel to confirm that this is always the case and to mention the confusion that the agent had with you on it.

Thanks. I thought I was in the right but she was so convinced that she was right I started to question myself.

What exactly is your "van"? A normal minivan like a Toyota Sienna?

Yes.

Standard-Size Vehicles include the following:
  • 2door cars (Honda Civic)
  • 4 door cars (BMW 7-series)
  • Station Wagons
Oversized Vehicles include the following:
  • Minivans (Honda Odyssey)
  • Large SUVs (Buick Enclave, Cadillac Escalade, Dodge Durango, Ford Excursion or Expedition, GMC Denali or Yukon or Envoy, Hummer, Infinity QX, Toyota Landcruiser, etc.)
  • Pickup Trucks (Dodge Ram)
That's for ICON. I've been charged oversized fee before so wonder if anyone has had any experience with the WoH globalist benefit at the PH

That is just stupid, the 750 is longer than the Sienna.
No way to find out if you do not call to ask
