Hyatt is currently hiring for the Park Hyatt Kyoto, so looks like they are potentially on track for a 2019 opening!

Woild make sense considering the HR got promoted to Cat 6 and the new Aman will be charging ridiculous amounts of money.

It would certainly indicate start of devaluation cascade. But for Hyatt it would make perfect sense to start it on a brand new PH rather than promoting existing cat 7.

Talk about teaser pics. Not even a simulated CG room for us to browse.

Not a Hyatt regular. Is it safe to assume no suite upgrade awards here given the restriction at Andaz Tokyo and HR Kyoto, or is it possible depending on the ratio of rooms to suites? I usually stay at RC Kyoto or Suiran Kyoto but this has caught my eye.

Not safe to assume (e.g., PH Tokyo is a counterexample). We'll need to see whether WOH names the PH Kyoto as a Suite Upgrade Ineligible Property.

They have very few rooms as is (70). Safe to assume they're going to go with the same restrictions here.

yeah if i were a betting man, i would say no DSU will be used here. Would LOVE to be pleasantly surprised, but since this place is likely going to be like 700+ a night.....
