My 2016 activity would have qualified me for Exploder since I had about 35-ish nights (10 stays).

The way I look at it, I am probably one of the few (thousand) who fall into the "crack" that's opened up between Plat and Diamond and truly and concretely benefit from this change to WoH. For a year.

How bizarre.

They give you DSUs that are only good for two weeks? Why bother? Admittedly, I have 4 expiring in two weeks also, but at least I had a year to try and use them.

They are in there with an expiration of 02/28/17. I think upon transition to Globalist, most likely 4 more will be given that expires in 02/29/18

I called Hyatt and they said I will receive 4 more after March 1st. That is weird. I don't think I can use these up by 02/28/17

It looks like you are receiving 4 under Gold Passport which you earned and 4 under WoH because of the transition. Normally if you use 2 by Feb 28 2017 you would have only have 2 extented to Feb 28 2018. Not Feb 29. 2018 is not a leap year.

No that's wrong. DSU are not supposed to be deposited until the new program year, i.e., March 1, 2017. None of us who requalified in 2016 have yet received our 2017 DSU.

When you're a newly minted diamond, you automatically get 4 DSU's immediately after your account status is updated. and then you get 4 more after feb28th. wether you get diamond on august 8th or february 27th.

when you're renewing your diamond membership you only get 4 DSU's every year after february 28th.

If a new Diamond achieved status on Feb 1 2016 he would receive 4 DSU's expiring on what date?

Thats because you requalified and are not a new diamond.
To be a little more accurate its because he was a Diamond who requalified in 2016. An existing Diamond that requalifies on Feb 14 2017 would receive 4 DSU's immediately weather they also requalified in 2016 or not. Could I get a THANKS for this clarification?
