Dear Hyatt: Please build a new hotel in ____

So I recall several years ago seeing a thread about where people wanted to see a new Hyatt and after many searches discovered it but thought I'd start a new post since it was three years old. I just recently planned a trip to Scotland and Ireland and was pretty bummed to not be able to stay in a Hyatt property. Accordingly, I'd love to start a new thread where people contribute their thoughts. Maybe Hyatt will take notice?

I thought it'd be best to say a City/Country name followed by the 1-2 brands most suited for the location. Feel free to repeat to show enthusiasm!

I'll get things started.

1) Dublin, Ireland - Park Hyatt or Andaz

2) Edinburgh, Scotland - Andaz

3) Bora Bora, French Polynesia - Park Hyatt

To be reasonably competitive, Hyatt would need to add several dozen hotels in European cities -- at a minimum in capitals like Dublin, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Prague, Rome, Madrid, etc -- and also in destinations like Munich, Barcelona, Florence, etc. Plus, a range of resorts in Greece, Italy, Spain, and the mountains (like former IC Berchtesgaden, Schloss Fuschl). Of course that'll never happen, even if Hyatt greatly expands contracts with hotels that are essentially unbranded (like Hotel du Louvre).

My personal wish list includes a few more decent resorts in SE Asia.

Well I would say start with Anchorage, AK. I was there for 4 nights and no Hyatt. All the major chains have good presence except Hyatt. Not a single property in AK.

I would love to have a Hyatt or few in (non-Disney) Africa for those transition days, landing at the capital-city airport, awaiting onward connection, or vice-versa. But they'd be (my best guess) sure money-losers.

Then again, they have the Dushanbe property...

I'd love to see a Hyatt Place, or preferably a Regency, near Sea-Tac.

Really, Hyatt should have a hotel near every hub airport in the US. The lack of a property convenient to PHL is frustrating, as well.

... Barcelona. A Grand Hyatt please...

Oh wait, there is supposed to be one if the left-wing mayor ever decides that top end hotels provide jobs and wealthy tourists and lifts the moratorium on new hotels.

There should also be a HP or HR with a shuttle to each and every one of the top 100 or so busiest airports in the world.

Absolutely anywhere in Europe could use any and all of the brands. Presumably the lack of a decent footprint makes it hard to attract developers which makes it hard to build up the footprint. Vicious circle. Maybe an acquisition of a portfolio?

An Andaz near Stellenbosch, South Africa would be brilliant, as well as a hotel or two in Cape Town proper. That would get me booking flights for sure...

Golden opportunity for a Grand Hyatt was missed in downtown Los Angeles when highrise Wilshire Grand began construction. It was grabbed by Intercontinental instead.

Everywhere. Hyatt has a great loyalty program, but coverage is lacking.

Personally, I could definitely use either a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House in:

1. Spokane, WA
2. Sea-Tac, WA
3. Victoria, BC
4. Anchorage, AK

I know it's not exactly Seatac but a Hyatt Regency is going in to Renton and I'm guessing they will have a shuttle to the airport.

My three (that aren't already listed):
1. Portland, OR - Hyatt Regency in the city
2. Reykjavik - Andaz (?)
3. Aukland, NZ - Regency or Grand

As a couple have already stated:
- every major city in Europe, focusing on HR and GH. More resorts in Europe, and please a GH or HR as well, not PH.
- Anchorage
- all other main cities in the US, where they do not have a presence, at least one HR in every state.
