You do need to email (or mail) the form, but once the points are transferred they're not treated any differently to the "other" points in the account of the person receiving the transferred points. They can be used as normal (you can make booking using the points from your Hyatt app, on Hyatt.com, call center, concierge, etc).

As mentioned, there is the restriction around only allowing 1 transfer every 30 days. That's probably not an issue for most people who aren't up to no good .

Good to know. I had interpreted the form as required a booking to be made over the phone for it to be processed.

Thank you, CoffeeTraveler!

Another issue... I've booked the brand-new HR ZRH for February. Currently, there's an opening offer (reduced rate, free room upgrade...). Also, there's a separate 500 bonus points per night offer until good for stays completed by the end of January '21. I strongly suspect the 500 bonus points offer will be extended. After all, the HR ZRH's opening has been delayed to February 1. The bonus-point offer is kind of pointless without the property being open

Question: Assuming the 500 bonus points offer will be extended through February, would I still be eligible for the bonus despite having booking before it being announced? Or do I really need to book a Hyatt rate which states somewhere in the description "500 extra Hyatt points per night?"

Annonucing date is irrelevant, check-out date counts. There would not be any "500 extra Hyatt points per night" description, this is a "new hotel bonus".

You can only do one Hyatt to Hyatt transfer every 30 days so keep that in mind.
Chase personal cardholders residing at the same address can also transfer URs to one another. Either can be any UR-earning card as far as I know.

Hyatt to Hyatt transfer is a bit of a pain.

No.

Maybe but runs afoul of the T&Cs - probably not smart.

No there is not. I lived here for 20 years now. What I meant was there were legit reasons to rent more than one hotel room at a time. So in my actual scenario I was considering renting an upscale Las Vegas Delano and 2 hours away a st george cat 1 near skiiing.
