Recently I was denied the 4PM late check out request at HP Moab on the day of departure. The hotel told me the 4pm benefit for globalist is only based on availability, which is not my understanding of the WOH terms.
After leaving the hotel, I reached out to my Hyatt Concierge to clarify the late check-out benefit, she told me at first it is only guaranteed if I request it before or at check-in and it is not guaranteed on the day of departure.
I pointed her to the webpage where I read the WOH terms that it didn’t specify that, she reached out to her manager and sent me the following reply with another definition:
“I have confirmed with my manager that the online terms and conditions is correct. As mentioned over the phone with the terms starting with Upon Request this indicates that late check out is not guaranteed and is based upon availability. Again , I suggest to always request late check out at the time of check in and the hotel will be able to let you know what they can do but cannot guarantee it.
My manager has sent these details off the proper team so that my system is in line with the online terms and conditions that you see.”
So in essence she is saying late check out is not a guaranteed benefit even for non casino/resort locations because the terms state “upon request”?

Can someone please tell me how the triple point promotion work? I recently completed a recent two day stay. I'm assuming the amount of points given are based on spending. Qualifying spend is $225.80 USD, base points = 1129, explorist bonus = 226, bonus points promotion 2020 = 2258, total points = 3613.

$1 as explorist = 5 + .2 + 10 + credit card points if applicable

It may put them in a tight spot, but it’s a published Globalist benefit.
I see no exclusions for properties that aren’t Casinos, Resorts, HRC or Destination Properties. Literally the T&C strictly state subject to availability only at those specific properties.

Oh...gotcha! Yea, I use my Hyatt card for all Hyatt purchases. Seems like a no-brainer since I'll get 4 points per dollar spent than with my CSR at 3 points per dollar spent.

Yeah, based on the T&C if this is HP Moab it 100% should be guaranteed. Yes, it’s typically done at check in, but check in agent should’ve asked at check in. They’ve always asked us, at check in if we’d like a 4pm checkout.

Not that that’s an excuse. I’d reach out above Concierge for an answer if I were OP. Likely to the office of the SVP Amy Weinberg. She likely wouldn’t read it but would have someone from her team read it for response. The T&C seem pretty cut and dry with the only exclusions being the Casinos, HRC, Resorts and Destination Properties none of which Hyatt Place Moab happens to be.

Very strange. I’m guessing the day the other poster wanted they must’ve been really booked for that room type.

I will send a note to SVP Amy Weinberg’s team for a follow up about my concierge’s reply. I agree the T&C is pretty cut and dry.

Say the Nightly Rate is $100 it would say:
Day 1: $100
Day 2: $100
Day 3: $0
Day 4: $100
I hope this helps!

Quick question. I am moving from Marriott as I am finally fed up. I decided to apply for the WoH credit card to begin my Hyatt stays. There is a current promotion of 10 EQN instead of 5. I was approved a few days ago but today in my Hyatt account I saw just 5 posted instead of 10.
Is this usual? Do the additional nights show up later? If not do I contact Chase or Hyatt about this? I have usually never had an issue with a credit card offer before for other chains so unsure what the best way forward is here.

Actually it is still current as long as you apply by Aug 31. All the links point to the new offer. I will try Chase. Seems like they put this offer on but haven’t fixed it in their backend IT systems.
