The Hyatt "chain" does not offer complementary liquor. A few Hyatt properties in the US offer complementary beer and wine in their lounge/club; even fewer also offer complementary spirits. The majority of properties are "honor bars" or offer staff prepared drinks only.

Am here at the Hyatt Regency SFO and ate breakfast with some ladies that work st the Grand Hyatt SFO, they reiterated that it would open on 9/30.
|
On the BART ride into SFO last week, noticed for the first time some exterior Grand Hyatt signage on the building.

The website shows the hotel is accepting reservations beginning 10/1. From what I. can tell, it looks like the opening date has been pushed out to 10/13.

First look, including lots of pics, from Chris McGinnis at sfgate: First Look: Grand Hyatt SFO
Grand Club is on third floor, with runway views. |
I have a reservation for the end of October. I hope I get a good upgrade.
BTW, does anyone know lounge hours? I assume that it will be open seven days a week since this is an airport hotel. |
UPDATE: According to the hotel telephone operator, the first date of operation is October 4th.

Hello,
I stayed at this hotel Oct 5-6. I didn't realize the hotel had just opened, everything is really nice. I attached pics below but some quick thoughts: 1. The Gym is incredible as is the Grand Club. I didn't sample the food but the design and amenities are great. 2. Staff is very friendly - lots of people everywhere. The hotel feels really empty right now though. 3. At check-in, they recognized my globalist status but I wasn't offered a suite upgrade or offered late checkout, told about breakfast, etc. Could improve on top-elite recognition. I didn't ask for a suite upgrade either. 4. My room has binoculars and a plane spotting guide, which is awesome. 5. The hotel is connected to the AirTrain, which is really convenient. This is definitely my new hotel of choice when I have to stay near SFO. 6. They gave me a wooden guest key as I was the first person to stay in my room. That's a really nice touch and something I'd like to hold onto :-) Let me know if anyone wants pics of anything specific or any other questions - I'm here for a few more hours. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...9dac813dc4.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d97e997ea7.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d9a3dd8548.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...b24234b6c0.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...94f72fe4f9.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...f60afe2aa5.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...69b1b7ea4c.jpg |
