When I facebook messaged them, they had me call a reservation number at 800-720-0051. They moved me into a King Swim-up which is less expensive than the pyramid suite. That said, the room was quite small, but the swim-up part was great.

I later emailed the GM directly over issues on having an infant in a swim-up. As my review said, they were very accommodating prior to our arrival.

His email is [email protected]

However, if you were to try to get them something at a restaurant, they would know. Every meal they ask room number and last name and they check the computer to see how many people.

I think a quick visit and possible swim in the pool/drink you can get away with.
I'm glad to hear that. My sister is only visiting us and we don't plan to bring her to any meal or drink so we should be fine then.

Would you happen to have a floor plan of the Presidential Suite? Can't seem to find pics anywhere.

Adults-only section

Interesting development

Ziva is the all-ages-all-inclusive and Hyatt is now introducing an adults-only area:

Just finished up a 4 night stay. Besides a little mix-up at check-in, everything was great. This was our 2nd time here. Our first was right before Thanksgiving 2015 about a week after they opened. While we encountered several service issues at our first visit, this stay was pretty much flawless. Room service and daily maid service/turndown was timely (we scheduled it each day). Pool waiter came around frequently, and restaurant service was always prompt. Facilities still look brand new. Very good liquor selection. There were a couple meals that were mediocre but most were pretty good. As a reference, I've been to Ziva Rose Hall and would rank Ziva Cancun ahead of it.

Pyramid Suite or Turquoize

Going here again pretty soon. This time I was able to use DSU to get into the Pyramid Suite. We don't have any extra people or kids. Anyone have any comments on if it would be better to stay at the Turquoize vs the Pyramid Suite.

We do end up spending a lot of time out of the room.

As a Diamond member, are we aloud entry into the adults only roof bar Punta Vista staying in the Pyramid Suite.

I also have noticed that Turquoize stays are provided transportation from and to the airport starting 9-1-16.

thanks

No, you would have to do it quietly...

The way I read the Turquoie benefits, everything there is based on private access to people staying in the tower, so I assume you would not be allowed up there.

Hi, I am staying here using Chase Free Nights and am Platinum. They put me in the Standard Room Garden View.

Does anyone know whether these rooms have ocean view as well as whatever garden view means?

Also, is there any chance of any room upgrade?

Thanks

I am here as well right now, and am Platinum. I had booked a Club room and at checkin I asked about Hyatt upgrades and the possibility of a move to the Turquoize Tower. I was told that as a Plat, I could get a discounted rate of an additional $100'per day. I declined and about 5 minutes later, I was told they could move it down to $80 per day, again declined. Just prior to being escorted to my room, I reminded them of the issues I had last Nov, just after the opening. My Club room turned out to be the exact same room (701) that I had before. Not 2 minutes after my Butler left my room, there was a knock at the door, and he explained that my room was being changed to 923 in the Turquoize Tower! (No Charge). These rooms are of similar size, but have a small bottle (375 ml) of tequila, a fancier bath with sliding glass doors, and most important -- a Hot tub outside on the corner terrace. It also comes with access to the private adults only pool. Be aware the pool is not in the Tower itself, but off the main lobby, and when I was using it at no time did anyone ask me for my room #, and access is from an open staircase, or a nearby elevator.
All in all, this trip was worlds away from my last (disappointing) visit, and apart from my initial checkin, everything was fantastic.

I'd be interested to know, what type of view is the Garden ? In my walks around the property, it appeared that aside from some 'obstructed' views on the ground floor, just about all rooms had some type of water view ?
Regarding upgrades, I don't think they do any status upgrades-- or if so, they are just mininal.

Be Wary of 'Hold' Charges

As mentioned above, I recently returned from a second trip to the Ziva Cancun. At check in I was advised that a 'hold' of $500 would be placed on my account for 'incidentals', but that it would be cleared up when I checked out and paid my bill. Two days after returning home, my AMEX was charged the full amount for my stay, but the $500 was still on the account as well. It is now 10 days later and the $500 charge is still there, I called Hyatt and was told it could take 2-3 weeks for that hold to be reversed?? This did not occur with my first visit, so not sure if it is an issue or a new policy.

It's free for people who have paid stays on the Turquoise building, but charges too much for non turquoise people.

I got upgraded to Turquoise but they told me the transport is only for paid people.

I use canadatransfers $55 roundtrip for up to 3 people.
