Day pass to zilara is turquoise only benefit but currently suspended due to covid 19.

The rooftop pool isn't in the Turquoize tower, and as long as you're an adult you'll never have an issue getting to it, regardless of where in the Ziva you stay. It seems like all rooms get access to the Zilara now (as of my last stay in March). The transportation is the only real difference, outside of the Butler. Butler's at the Ziva are extremely hit or miss. Some people swear by them, but the two times I've had one... they were terrible and borderline useless.

That’s NEVER been the case in my 10+ experiences. They are always checking room numbers ( or they just recognize you) at the rooftop pool. Seen many adults turned away. Has there been a policy change?

Same here. I've been twice in the past year and Always been asked a room number upon getting out the elevator. I too have seen them turn adults away.

I've gone twice in the past year, and I have never been asked for a room number at the rooftop pool. That's... odd.

I've seen varying levels of enforcement from EXTREME to more relaxed but still paying attention. Unless something changes officially, nobody going to Ziva should expect access to the rooftop pool UNLESS they are in the Turquoise. Period.

Totally agree. I used to try via email and it never worked. I think I am 5/5 trying via the phone and just booked Ziva with a BRG for next March.

Sounds like the answer is yes. Like I said I'm confirmed in an ocean front corner suite, I emailed the room controller and asked about a turquoize king master swim up instead. She said I could "downgrade" and I wouldn't receive a refund for the price difference, which I didn't ask about nor care about especially with a TSU

Just to clarify, the TT ‘rooftop’ pool is NOT on the top of the Turquoise Tower. In fact, it is in a different building and is actually just one level up from the main hotel lobby and is on the roof of that hotel lobby, overlooking the main pool area. Also, the free TT airport transportation comes with stays of 4+ nights.

I just returned from a stay at TT in Ziva Cancun, and you must use your TT room key to open the door near the steps up to the adults only pool or to press 3 on the elevator. Additionally, the bartenders ( Daniel & Irma) will ask for your room number & name initially when you’re ordering from the Punta Vista TT pool bar.
And currently the TT bar is NOT open to any guests in the evening, as it was in the past.

Stopover flights

Is Cancun considered international in the sense that if I have a flight from Cancun to Nashville through Houston I would need to go get my checked bags and recheck them for my flight to Nashville?

As Cancun is in Mexico, yes, it's an international flight. I suspect your real question is whether Cancun has preclearance where you go through US immigration/customs at the point of origin. Cancun does not have that (nor does any airport in Mexico). You do indeed have to clear immigration, collect your bags, and clear customs in Houston, then recheck your bags to Nashville.

Thanks for the address. I wondered if there was a new person in the position.
Have a great stay. We arrive in 23 days, but who's counting?
