Park Hyatt Niseko, Hanazono REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

This will be a welcome addition to an area that only includes a Hilton and a Vale property as far as international hotel chains go. Hokkaido has been ignored for far to long by Hyatt and it is very nice to see them expanding.

That's great news for those of us who like skiing in North Asia.

I would love to go skiing in Asia. Now more of a reason to go!

Niseko is something else;). Glad Hyatt pulled this one off!

Great news for Hyatt.:)^

Hokkaido is getting a lot of attention recently with conversion of three Starwood properties this month and next.:)

**EDIT** Never mind, see them now.

Quite honestly, I've found that most places in Japan it's usually best to go with their own hotels/chains. That might be starting to change.

Maybe in smaller cities but major Japanese cities with a Hyatt(s) usually are great properties and stays for me.

The website for this property is now available: http://nisekohanazono.park.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html

Apparently it will be a 100-room hotel planned to open in December 2019.

Nice... Have stayed at the Hilton for many years but don't stay with Hiltons much any more. Will be very nice to have a PH here. Plus I love the Hanozono side of the mountain.

Fantastic - will give me an excuse to go back to Niseko to ski again in a few years and like SNA_Flyer I am a big fan of the Hanozono side.

Having just discovered how great Niseko is, I am truly excited at this property. Glad to have something to look forward to!

Funny, I'm in the HND airport right now heading up to Niseko (hilton). Agree this will be a nice addition. Interesting to see both SPG and Hyatt moving in here.

"As to the project in Hokkaido, Japan, we commenced in April construction work for the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono and the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono Residences, which are expected to be completed in late 2019. PCPD held a pre-launch reception in Hong Kong in March to introduce this project and received very positive response from potential buyers of the residential units."

- from the property owner's financial report in August 2017, they will publish another update later this month.
