Award Booking Updates
Dear FlyerTalkers,
Today, we are excited to announce two updates that will improve your Hyatt travel experience.
New! Award Booking Updates
Now there are more ways to use your points online. Starting this afternoon on Hyatt.com and via the Hyatt app, you can:
• Book Points + Cash awards
• Upgrade paid stays to a Regency Club or Grand Club room using points
• Cancel award bookings
Guest of Honor Extended
Earlier this year, we introduced Guest of Honor as the newest Diamond member benefit. Guest of Honor gives Diamond members the opportunity to extend their in-hotel benefits like Regency Club or Grand Club access, free breakfast, and late checkout to family and friends when they transfer a free night stay using points. This Diamond benefit has been extended through December 30, 2016.

This is another reason I make it a point to requalify for Diamond before any other hotel loyalty programs. LUV Hyatt.

This is good news, especially on the P+C front. I don't mind calling in to book the P+C when I know exactly what properties and dates I want, but I don't really like having to tie up the agent searching various dates and properties to find P+C availability. Being able to search on my own is a huge plus.

Great news... I dislike having to call.
But when you use a corporate code to first search for the regular rate it only displays points only. Even when p+C is available (that is shown when removing the corporate rate).

This is good news, although more access to P&C = less inventory available. I almost liked having to call because not many are willing to / even know about it.

Great enhancements, although I will miss many of my pleasant chats with the HGP staff in the US.
I hope that award cancellation actually refunds points properly as well...
