Oh, thanks! I guess that could work… provided there are power outlets somewhere not too far away?
I have to admit I really like the design otherwise.
Any feedback on the gym? Do they have a proper breakfast again? Is the lounge open? (I’ll probably give them a call later, I’m on a plane at the moment.)

Hyatt place does have a gym and desk. Better option might be Hyatt House down the street. Better breakfast , omelette station good gym, desks
Regency is the nicest but with Covid your not gaining much - no club, breakfast booked night before and picked up in lobby. I think their main restaurant is closed but the bar is open and there is bar food

Ugh, the Hyatt House has lots of bad reviews.
Disappointing to read that they’re still using covid as an excuse for not serving a regular breakfast… I guess Westin Galleria it is. Thank you!

I'm not sure where this Covid information is coming from. I stayed here in Feb '22 and breakfast was open in-restaurant (you just redeem the purple to-go order voucher with the waiter), in addition to the to-go option. Club lounge is permanently closed and will not reopen at this property. Loved this hotel, extremely modern.

I stayed here in January as a globalist. No upgrade was given even though the website still showed available suites. The breakfast is at the restaurant on the 1st floor next to the bar. It was just a step above hyatt place quality. I didn't enjoy it. I think Hyatt regency should serve better breakfast. Breakfast at HR Houston downtown or Houston West is much better quality. The lounge was not open when I stayed.

I used to spend every weekend (often 3 nights or so) every week in Houston - to this day, I have never stayed at this property as the reviews constantly mention things like this about bad treatment, bad breakfast, and cleanliness issues. This might be one of the more modern properties, but it's clear to me that the love isn't here.

I stay here a few times a year as it's closest to my elderly MIL who lives nearby. I always request a globalist suite upgrade and if available, it's been granted. I concur with others that breakfast buffet is mediocre but they do give you free Starbucks cappuccinos or lattes which make it worth it for me. The breakfast staff have always been very nice and accommodating. Front desk staff might be a different story depending upon the individual. Sadly, the lounge is permanently closed.
