Diamond amenity at MGM / mlife hotels?
Luxor-stay posted with diamond bonus but without amenity points. Is that correct?
Surprisingly several searches did not reveal the answer.

What?! Yet another reason to never visit Las Vegas. Between the reports of points never posting and now this revelation, I'm beginning to regret the Hyatt/Mlife partnership.

I'm a fan of the Hyatt-Mlife Partnership.
Before: Stay at Hyatt Place (off-strip) OR stay in the thick of things at a strange property with zero status.
After: stay in the thick of things with a tiny bit of status. You get points and stay credit. As a Hyatt Diamond you get access to the VIP checkin and the lounges which are at all mLife properties. It's not a Hyatt but it's far better than the "zilch" we enjoyed before the alliance.

It's a partnership. The MGM hotels are still owned and operated separately. They aren't Hyatt hotels. Given that, the benefits are surprisingly generous.

Each MLife property has a VIP lounge, similar to the Regency Club but not nearly as fancy. They have complimentary drinks and snacks, usually an attendant or two, and most importantly an opportunity to get away from the madness for a short while. The lounges aren't widely advertised but you can ask where they are. At the places I've stayed, you can even check in and out of the hotel while at the lounge.

Mlife Platinum members don't get access at most of the VIP lounges; it is only if you are coded by your casino host.
At Monte Carlo and NYNY Platinum members can get in to pretty easily. The rest you have to be coded.
Do you play a lot at the Mlife casinos? Have others had luck with this?

We are better of than before... Even though the benefits at Mlife properties are limited, before the partnership there weren't any.

Oops, you're right, mLife Platinums (Hyatt Diamond) no longer get access to the VIP lounges. This downgrade seems to have quietly snuck in, back in May 2014. Also I keep forgetting that Hyatt Diamond only gets you to mLife Platinum (the next-to-highest level). Oh well, we aren't missing much as the mLife VIP lounges are quite spartan compared to Regency and Grand clubs. In any case, thanks for the update.
And Hyatt Diamond members get entrance?

I, for one, think that this is a FANTASTIC partnership.
HGP Diamond = Mlife Plat. You don't want Mlife Noir because you don't get as good room rates on Mlife's website.
Mlife Plat gets a lot of perks.
And always book on mlife's website (not Hyatt). The room rates are lower if you're a Plat than anywhere else that I've looked. And you still get Hyatt credit.
Diamond amenity - no, you don't get one, but if points are that important, one can stay at the Hyatt Place. I've stayed there and I'll take a Mlife property any day.
No free breakfast either. But you're in Vegas and if you wake up before lunchtime, you're doing something wrong. It's Vegas.
Resort fees - hate to break it to everyone but all of the decent hotels in Vegas have resort fees.
Points not posting - yes it happens. I always save my receipt until I see my stay posted. I've had to send my receipt in a couple of times to get credit; no big deal.
I don't understand how people can complain about having additional hotel options. I love this partnership because it's been a great inexpensive mattress run to keep Diamond status.

I love this partnership as well. Hyatt elites went from having Zero options on the Strip to (suddenly) having almost a dozen options. I haven't added it up but I'm almost certain we have more Las Vegas options than any of the other major hotel chains. Make no mistake about it: the mLife partnership is a major bonus for Hyatt elites.

Shake Shack
One hidden benefit is a separate line at Shake Shack (in front of NYNY). The lines can get very long and the special Plat/Noir line has helped me gain weight even quicker!
