Heading back to Aria next week for a nice weekend in a corner suite. We haven't been since probably last October.

Any big changes to either Aria or the strip since then? I can't remember if the Aria buffet had reopened the last time we were there, but if so we didn't try it. For those that have, did it get any better from the horribleness that it was before the renovation?

Went to Aria a few weeks ago and stayed in their Corner Suite as well. The construction by MGM Grand is no longer there, so no need to worry about traffic at that intersection. Never went to Aria's buffet before it was renovated but I think their buffet is the best one in town.

FYI - there's a decent Mlife promo for this property, log into Mlife - $170 credit for 2/night stay & 30% off rates (same at Bellagio). Looks like cheapest weekends for base rooms come in under $195/night incl. tax & resort fee.

Decent offer. They do tend to vary from person to person. I currently have one offer for a $100 resort credit and another for $250 in Freeplay and a free room (probably during the week). YMMV.

I recently booked a mid-week stay for about $107 including resort fee, with $200 in spending money (2-night stay).

Yeah, for weekdays, $99/night isn't bad, but it's not great either. Especially if there's no freeplay or other credit involved. Now if you're talking about $99 for the whole Mon-Fri stay...that's a different story.

IMHO, anything under $120 a night at Aria is good.

Oh, I agree, too. Aria/Vdara are my favorite properties on the strip by far.

$99 on a weekend would be a great deal IMO, but during the week it falls into just "good" territory for me, since I often see $69 or $79 offers midweek, or slightly higher but with freeplay tacked on.

$99 is still something I'd happily pay there.

Apologies if my previous post implied that Aria should be offering the same rates as NYNY or something. Absolutely not what I meant.

Given a $200 spend credit on about $200 of room/resort, I can't afford not to stay there.

No upgrade unless you are willing to pay for it or are an extremely high gambler.

Almost all of my MLife points are from hotel rooms/food/show tickets (I'm not a big gambler). I've gotten upgrades quite a few times at MLife properties.
While the only suite upgrades I've gotten were at Excalibur and Luxor, I've gotten larger standard rooms with views on high floors quite a few times.
At Aria last month, I got a strip view room for Fri/Sat/Sun but only paid for cheapest room.
