same question here on the parking. would love to hear options vs valet.
also - any adults only area of the property. we are traveling solo this visit; and looking for a quiet zone. i guess quiet relates to adults as well. hoping for relaxation in a beautiful spot with some interesting activities and good food. researched using points/free nights but decided on $ with FHR. thanks in advance! |
I am hearing mix replies on resort fee when paid with points. Anyone who has stayed here recently paid with full points can confirm if resort fee is charged?

I haven't paid much attention, but are the Mauka rooms new categories?

I can confirm that the resort fee is waived when staying on full points. |

I know award availability at this hotel is spotty, but I thought it would be safe since I'm trying to book 6 nights. Still says "point stays are unavailable during these dates". This is mid January, so maybe high season. Should I try calling in or is the agent going to see same thing I see on the site?

Unfortunately, the resort sometimes (depends on timing) has 8 to 10 night stay requirement for points booking. Try expanding your search with 8 nights. Once you find availability, you can book the 8 night stay and call to reduce down to 6 if needed. |

Is all a game they are playing. I can't imagine expanding to 8 to 10 nights gives you a better chance to book using points. I would think it is less of a chance. |
Can someone PM me the Kihei parking option? Will be onsite next month for my second visit. First time was 3 years ago for the honeymoon.

So if I go all-points here, and I'm a Globulon, I'll get waived resort fees and free valet?

Diamonds get free parking (but all the valet hassle) on all points stays. |
Any tips on which specific Cabana to request if you have a baby? I heard there might be better ones where it’s safer for them to crawl around. (Sorry for bring a baby to the hotel if you’re staying there at the same time :D - she really doesn’t cry that much!)

I'll be doing my third visit with my child, did it at less than one year, two years, and now three years. One year (I think the first) I contemplated giving small gifts to the rooms near mine because she cried so much at odd hours, haha.
You want a cabana at the "beach" pool... the lowest (closest to the beach) one that has a walk in set up (what's this called)... where the pool replicates the ocean in that it's only an inch deep at first then gradually gets as deep as only like three feet for most of it (gets like five feet maybe at deepest?). The little babies/toddlers in swim diapers can crawl/walk in to the pool, and there's lots of kids with floaty/play-toys there. |
