This site claims to state the various benefits of the various Mlife levels.

yes... and the MGM resort fees add up quickly... the nicer the place, the higher the resort fee. The resort fees have largely turned me off from a lot of the strip resort lately. And diamonds looking to get those resort fees waived are DREAMING.

For personal stays I was an MGM guy until they introduced resort fees, switched to Caesars, and now might switch back to MGM (due to Hyatt points... getting around the resort fees isn't going to happen). For business stays I was a Hilton guy and now that that is gone I tend to stick with Caesars (although I've flirted with Elara and now the Trop for Hhonnors points).

IE: I paid $70 for 3 nights at Main Street Station this upcoming trip. The downtown casino/hotel is clean and good enough for me to just sleep, shower and shave after a marathon of poker. This same hotel anywhere else would be $120/night minimum. I'm staying here before the g/f flies in and we go to Mandalay Bay
Why waste good points in Vegas?
Heck, all those points people are using for these rooms.....I'd be transfering to Southwest so I can fly to Vegas for free. "
If you use these points on a room in Vegas....you're a sucker.
For example, if I have a 3 days vacation in Vegas, I can simply check-in & check-out each day among MGM, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor, or Monte Carlo. That will simply give me 3 stay credits toward my Diamond qualification. Maybe the only problem is time I need to kill between each check-out(11AM?) and check-in(3PM?) but hey, I have no problem to check my luggage with the bellhop and go gambling, eating buffet or shopping to kill the 4 hours time gap. More excitingly the tier matching may allow me to request early check-in and late check-out at those MGM resorts which means smaller time gap between the hotel hopping
Some mention about the resort fee. A summary of resort fee is in the link below and it's in the $15-$25 range.

Well, look it this way, at least those Vegas resorts are not charging parking fee. Most Hyatt I stayed at do not waive parking fee for diamond member either.

BRG and Vegas Hotels
It will be interesting to see if BRG will be honored with these hotels. Rates could get extremely cheap if they match other sites.

The BRG is a feature/function of the Hyatt brand, not the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty program, so you should not expect this to carry over.

not all rosy
I can see that more diamond members will devalue the program. And the hotels will raise the price knowing that they can.

M life Sapphire and Pearl Members will be welcomed to Hyatt Gold Passport membership. M life Gold, Platinum and NOIR members will be eligible to opt-in to Platinum status in the Hyatt Gold Passport program
Looks like no MLife match to Diamond!

I think he meant more opportunities for MRs will make it easier to achieve DM.
Which tier will I receive in the Hyatt Gold Passport program as a current M life member?

You are making your personal leisure trips dependent on if there is a Hyatt or not? Sorry, but that's just stupid. However it shows that the loyalty programs really find some people who tie themselves completely to a brand.

To you people thinking this is a great deal, sorry it's not. I posted my opinion on another forum and will do it here.
"The current hotel tiers set up sucks.
Mandalay Bay belongs on #5. Mirage and/or Signature MGM belong on #6. Maybe even VDara on #6.
I love how Hyatt totally skipped Circus Cirus. That casino is a money maker for MGM. No debt on the casino itself, grinds out a steady profit for the company.
I value UR points as 0.02 each for Southwest usage. 22,000 points/night even at 0.01 is too much for Mandalay Bay. Hell, i'm staying at Mandalay Bay in 4 weeks at $75/night for two nights with $100 resort credit.
This partnership is good for two people
#1. People who have boatloads of UR points or Hyatt points and want to spend em.
#2. People who don't know how to get a good rate with various codes at MGM properties. I spent $85 + resort credit for a Spa Suite at MGM Grand in November. Why spend 18,000 points for the basic room? (IE: MGM Grand's cheapest rates are now for West Wing Rooms instead of the remodeled basic rooms. West Wing Rooms are TINY!) "
and
"I go to Vegas every few months. I can't see spending points (Hilton or Hyatt) on a room in Vegas. I would much rather use my Hilton points in Florida, Arizona or New Mexico where the tiers are lower and rooms are more expensive.
If you can't find a decent rate for a room in Vegas.....and it isn't a holiday weekend or a trade show....then you're doing it wrong.
