Would love to know if MGM stays count towards nights for Diamond challenge. I asked via email and got a very non answer answer.

THe hotels could be booked on Hyatt.com now. However, the price for the same day is different from that found on mlife.com, for my specific travel date.
More specifically, the price found on mlife.com is 40 dollars lower per day than what I found on Hyatt. I may go directly with mlife.com and provide my Hyatt number at check-in. Since there was difference, should I worried about that those nights booked on mlife at lower price are not elite-qualifying for Hyatt membership?
Thanks,

Point 47 is disappointing.
Once I opt-in for a matched tier in M life, does my matched tier in M life expire?
Once you have received your matched tier in M life, all rules, regulations and expirations of the M life program apply. Full M life program details can be found here.

Does my matched tier in Hyatt Gold Passport expire?
Once you have received your matching tier in Hyatt Gold Passport, all rules, regulations and expirations of Hyatt Gold Passport apply. For more information about Hyatt Gold Passport, visit hyatt.com/gp

If the latter, then there's going to be a whole other thread about strategizing for when to execute your status match.

Yes. It counts. I also check this specific question with Hyatt and got the positive answer.
The replied email says like this
"
Thank you for your email; Yes you will be earning night credit that will count towards your Diamond trial requirements. At this time we anticipate a 4 week delay for any stays from the MGM properties to be credit to your account. Because of your Diamond trial I would encourage you to call after your stay has posted to your account. If a adjustment is warranted we can manually change your tier status.

The deposit was charged by the hotel (VDARA) directly, I guess, since the pending charge on my credit card shows the name of the hotel I booked, i.e. (VDARA - CONDO HOTEL).
According to the FAQ on hyatt.com as quoted below, since the payment is made directly to the hotel, this rate should be considered as "M life-Eligible stay" and "M life-Eligible night", although I don' quite understand why they put a hyphen like this, instead of "Mlife-eligible" or "mlife eligible stay".
"An M life-Eligible Stay is:
Any stay where payment is made directly to a participating MGM Resorts International property; OR
Bookings made through Hyatt.com; OR
Bookings made through a Hyatt Global Contact Center.
"
If there is any mistake that I made in understanding the FAQ or interpreting the T&C, you are more than welcome to point it out and correct it.
Thanks

When I made my reservation, I asked about MLife credits and my stay was eligible. I will be on the casino rate but not comped. Comped stays don't count.

The way it reads, it looks like it is a one time match. I hope I'm wrong.
There is similar wording the other way around, with HGP rules applying once you match from MLife to HGP.
My question is this - if I match from MLife Platinum/Noir to HGP Platinum this year, then requalify for MLife Plat/Noir, but NOT for HGP Platinum, will I be able to re-match again the following year? Or is it a one-and-done deal?
If the latter, then there's going to be a whole other thread about strategizing for when to execute your status match.

Not exactly. The rate on mlife.com is not fully prepaid, at least for my specific book made this morning. It asks for the first day's rate as the deposit and the rest amount will be due upon check-in. The rate is fully cancelable until 48 hrs before check in.

Since this "code sharing" has started and we now have two threads going on the subject - new one is http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyatt...-launched.html , I'll lock this thread for housekeeping purposes. If you've recently posted a question in this thread that hasn't been answered, please feel Free to repost in the other thread.
