Milestone gifts as reported by Flyertalkers.

25 hotels - 5,000 points
50 hotels - 10,000 points
75 hotels - 1 free night anywhere
100 hotels - 1 free night anywhere

500 points for a game. Guess the order of the hotels visited.

Be aware that this is a targeted promotion. Not everyone receives it, and who is selected is a secret guarded by Hyatt.

Nope, this is part of the surprise & delight program of gifts / promos that are targeted without any qualification criteria, aka "special sauce".

This http://boardingarea.com/onemileatati...50-properties/ appears to contain the criteria for this award.

I got this on Friday evening, 1 free night valid for a year. They gave me the list of all the properties I have stayed at. I think the final one on the list was a few weeks back.

Yes, it shows the terms of the award, but nothing about qualifying for this. There are many that have posted that they are well over the 50 unique properties, including me, and NADA.

+1 - but that blog post shows that only stays from 2005 counts.

Jan 1995 you mean?

What's more likely is that only those who reached the threshold in 2013 have received the offer.... I haven't seen this offer mentioned before. More incompetence in not recognizing that people might find out that others have gotten it, and while meeting the same criteria, they haven't.

Similar boat here - 32 properties, including award stays.

No, that's not it. I've stayed at way over 50 different properties since 1995 and never got this.

100 Unique Hotels

Just received a personal phone call from Hyatt after having achieved stays at 100 unique hotels.

2 Free Nights to be deposited to my account.

Cool! Now that I know there is another award tier after 50, this will probably have some (small) factor in deciding where to stay. I mean, if I have two options, and all else (PRICE, convenience, reviews) are equal, why not choose the property that I haven't been to before to push closer to the goal?

I assume you didn't have a 50-property reward? I wonder if the standard reward at 100 is 2 nights, or if they are are giving you a 'catchup' second night at this milestone

I just got to 50. With current plans, I'll be visiting many of the same places going forward, adding 2-3 unique properties at this point over the next year. I might be able to stretch to 1-2 other new ones.

They do count properties that have since closed, I have at least one at this point. They've also counted the LA Hotel Downtown - wonder if it'll get counted again once rebranded.

Hyatt can give gifts whenever they want. Some get it after 50, some after 100, some never. It's their prerogative.

But a little free advice - inconsistency isn't a virtue. And it isn't something I'll reward.
