I booked May 31st for 4 nights. Rate is down to $450 a night. Cancelled my points stay and ending up using my Citi Prestige 4th night free. I also used points for a suite upgrade and hope to switch that to a suite cert in February. Rates here are higher then the nearby Four Seasons on Nevis. Hoping the rate lowers.

Hi there,
Thinking of a late May stay here on points. Are people largely confident that the March opening date won't get pushed back (in a similar situation like the Baha Mar) and that they won't be running into major service issues (knowing that they'll still be figuring things out as a newly opened property)? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you.

Availability in March has disappeared as of yesterday. I have been watching over the last couple of weeks while trying to decide which nights we were going to go...now all gone. Any one have any info if they are thinking about delaying or something?

We have a stay booked for March 6-10, 2017; I contacted Hyatt to add the night of March 5th (Sunday night) since I now had enough points to do so (we fly in on the 5th) - and was told the Hotel is 'completely sold out'. I checked random other single dates in March and they are ALL showing as unavailable. We already have our flights booked - now I am seriously concerned our Spring Break may be at risk. That would really bite.

Not sure what the concern is. Simple solution would just book another room somewhere else the 1st night for now and then check back to see if they have any openings.

I called the Diamond Line today and they said the property has blocked them from making all reservations (points, cash, whatever) until April 16th. Hope we don't have another botched opening on our hands... My gut tells me that they'll still open the property much earlier than that and reopen the reservations system when they have a better handle on a hard opening date.

I really hope they figure this out and SOON. I have a trip booked with the family for Spring Break (early March) including our flights; it would be a huge disappointment if they missed the Opening.

As per the website, reservations are accepted starting March 1st. So you seem to be in luck.
although outrageous prices of up to 1000$ on some dates.

2) If they were actually planning on opening in March 2017, as per that article, it's bizarre that there are no reservations available until Mid April... Highly unlikely the property is booked solid for the first 6 weeks at this point.
I do not have high hopes for my March reservation.
