It wouldn't matter if it was $2,000 a night. Cat 7 is too much for the Caribbean. There are loads of good properties for reasonable prices if I want a Caribbean getaway.

Cash Rates are now up for March 1, 2017 and Beyond. Rates start at $900 for a Park King and top out at $2400 for a Park Executive Suite. No award or C+P availability seems to be loaded.

Wow... Very expensive. To my knowledge, award nights and hence P+C, are never available for booking before the hotel is actually open.

765$ with my coporate rate...

Must admit that I may be wrong.... DSU's are not usable, until the hotel has officially opened. So my interpretation was, that all award travel was not available either.

DSU are supposed to not be available.... but in reality it's up to a property.

The PH Mallorca that was recently opened offered full awards on the website, P+C's when people called and DSU's as well. All before opening.

The last part is pretty standard for any new hotel opening.... it's hit and miss for properties making that first announced opening date, lot's of them had to cancel those first reservations.

Oh yes, I recall the GH Baha Mar... all those complaints, because non-refundable flights were booked and the opening is (still) postponed..
