It's been a while since I've been there but I don't remember the spread in the club lounge being particularly extensive. That being said, it's quite a decent hotel and the restaurant collection downstairs was very good for dinner when I tried it. With the hours you will be at ICN, staying at the Hyatt allows to have a relaxing break without any hassle. If you go into town, you'll basically eat dinner, sleep, have breakfast and have to go straight back to the airport.

But what a dinner and breakfast you can have, if you're adventurous!

I would go into Seoul and have a nice meal. I do this all the time. Seoul is cheap but fabulous. Incheon, on the other hand, is boring.

Plus HR Incheon is nothing nice. For a little bit more, I could enjoy PH Seoul. Much better IMO.

The PH is much better (although I stick by my comment that Hyatt Incheon is nice). I assumed the PH would also be much more expensive. So I plugged in Dec 19 - 22 and for the Hyatt daily rate, Incheon came up at W240k and the PH at W290k. Indeed, that isn't a huge difference! So I'd say it is back in the running if you don't mind the inconvenience of going into and out of Seoul.

I stayed here last week. It is a pretty good airport hotel. The casino is very small. The club has a small breakfast offering. Cereal, Juice and baked goods. The highlight of the layover for me was riding the shuttle bus with F1 driver Fernando Alonso. If you have a early morning flight I don't think it is worth the drive in to the city. I did go to the Emart. It is kind of confusing because it is in the basement of a almost vacant building.

Is breakfast continental or is there a more extensive spread?

In the evening, are food/drinks available within a window (like 5:30-7:30) or for a more extended timeframe?

TIA.
Breakfast is more than continental with scrambled eggs and Asian soup.

As Richard said, the food is sparse but adequate. Food and cocktails are from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. While the food is not extensive, it is tasty and well presented.

The Hyatt ICN is an excellent deal at only 8k points. It dropped to a Cat. 2 this year from a Cat. 3. I'm sure it will move back to a Cat. 3 next year bc it's rates are high and it is often sold out, even on weekends.

Any way to just use the Hyatt ICN Health Club?

Does anyone know if ICN Hyatt has any deals for just using the health club? I'm platinum if that makes any difference.

I have a 6 hour layover at ICN in mid January. I am going to try to get CA to through check my bag to the UA flight, but if they won't, I will probably be stuck outside the gate area/lounges for a few hours until UA check-in opens. If so, I am hoping that the Hyatt has a way to use the health club. I'd even pay, as long as it is reasonable.

The Hyatt Regency Incheon // South Korea // Our impressions!

Here are some photos we have taken during our two stays from the Hyatt Regency Incheon // South Korea // they are all listed in our Flickr account // Links are under each photo, ENJOY:

Welcome // The Pleasure of Simply Be // The Hyatt Regency Incheon // South Korea by UggBoy♥UggGirl [ PHOTO // WORLD // SENSE ], on Flickr

We have stayed at this beautiful Hyatt twice in April 2011 and have had only great experiences at this property. Free shuttle bus from the Airport, modern design, great services and food // drink offerings and rounding up our picture, we got a free upgrade from the entrance category room // we booked to the 12th floor // top floor Regency Level and Club Lounge Access. Overall, we had two great stays here, and when needed again, we can highly recommend this hotel at Incheon Airport for a lay-over, having said that we were informed that it is also favoured by honeymooners, they do even target this market in their ads. We have seen their Spa, pool, garden and atrium, excellent. We loved both of our rooms, upgrade or not. Beware, during our stay, our room on the 7th floor had an old tube style tv, but nevertheless upscale furnishings and a wonderful feel throughout, while the Regency Club room had a large flat screen TV, of course the Lounge is gorgeous and their food offerings superb incl. hot items. Hope you like it?

Hi - I will be flying SYD-ICN-YVR in Jan and arrive in ICN at 18:40 and depart the following day at 18:00. I plan to stay at the Hyatt at ICN. There is a room package which includes breakfast, late check-out and a free tour (either a 2 hour Temple Tour or a 3 hour City Tour) for about $50 more than the basic room-only price. Has anyone used this package - I am mostly interested in the tour options - seems like a good way to kill a few hours while waiting about for my 6:00PM flight. Before I book I will call the hotel to find out what the departure times of these tours are as I would like a sleep-in/leisurely breakfast and plenty of time to check-in and use the C lounge.

I'm note really interested in taking the train to the city and walking around on my own.

Also, a bit OT, but does anyone know if travelling OZ then AC if I can check my luggage through?

If you're not a Hyatt Diamond (which gets you the late checkout and breakfast for free), I'd say that package is a good deal.

Day Rooms at Hyatt ICN

I'll be in Seoul for about 11 hours. Stayed at the Hyatt ICN many times but always overnight. Looked on their website for a day room and nothing there. Do they not offer day rooms? I am not looking for a low price - just a room that I can get into very early in the morning and then check-out early eveneing....
