I may have not asked the GH Incheon Concierge clearly enough but I just wanted to know more more about the free shuttle ride to and from the airport. My inquiry (among other questions about transport) was:
"We have 4 adults and 2 children (4 year old and 1 year old).
What is the best way to get to Grand Hyatt Incheon from ICN international airport? We are flying Asiana from LAX."
As far as I can tell, it seem like the hotel is only steps away from ICN. It should be manageable to take the free shuttle to the hotel directly even with strollers? I didn't think we would need a 100k won private limo. Is this true if we're going from GH Incheon to GMP the next day? Is it possible to get there on a free shuttle?
GH Incheon's response:Private Limousine (VAN)
- Vehicle type : Hyundai Staria (Van),
- Course 1. Incheon International Airport Terminal1 (Asiana(CX…) // ETA TBA // From Los Angeles) -> Grand Hyatt Incheon West Tower
- The number of passengers : 6pax ( 4adults & 2 children)
- Price : 100,000KRW (Including tax)

Are taxis in that area extremely cheap (similar to Seoul?) If all your stuff doesn't fit in 1 taxi you can always split up and take 2 of them.
It's also literally 1 stop on a bus, though dragging that much stuff on a bus might be a hassle (but with 4 adults it might be manageable)

Is the club lounge offering / Globalist amenities decent enough to warrant a 1-4 cert? I have an aunt wanting to stay here and I think she’s under the illusion it’s a similar level to the GH Seoul.

How bad of an idea would it be to use this hotel for a 2 day stopover in Korea for tourism purposes? I've been to Seoul before on an overnight but really didn't see much. I don't mind commuting honestly but this would be more than I would like. It's the only hotel accepting points for the dates I need which is why I may have to suck it up. I believe the maglev has reopened so that would help a bit but I'm still looking at an hour or so into the city.

The food court in Paradise City has a lot of variety. They're actually Seoul restaurants with a branch in Paradise. Probably the best walkable restaurants in the area. It's across the street from GH's West building.

Ended up getting in late last night so got a night here with a 1-4 cert. Upgraded in the app to a west tower king suite which has seen better days but was overall very clean. Directed to Restaurant 8 for Friday morning bfast and honestly much better than I expected with a pretty good Korean spread and a handful of decent western items with a pho and egg station separately. Still punting my aunt over to GH Fukuoka later this year but definitely the best airport hotel I’ve been in
Aventine I was slightly skeptical of folks actually coming here outside of airport stays but it’s much more crowded than I thought. Might be due to the holiday coming around too.

There was definitely some confusion since I asked the front desk and they sent me to the Grand Club on the 1F West Tower (I think it’s the newer one?), then the associate there told me Restaurant 8 was much nicer and to go there. Then the team at Restaurant 8 were confused I was there and not the Grand Club on 1F, but decided to just say I was sent here by the front desk and they didn’t push. It was waived anyways but yeah it’s unclear what the actual policy is.

Staying here for 2 days since I have an early flight out. I ended up booking 2 nights separately and they didn't combine the reservations automatically so I had to switch rooms the next day. It's the weekend and they said they were fully booked. I booked the standard king and got upgraded both days. The first day, I got the 1 bedroom residence and the second day, I got the grand deluxe suite king. There's a west building that is 10 years old and an east building that is 20 years old. The FDC told me that they try to put Globalist in the West wing because the lounge is in the West wing. I thought the suites were really nice and well maintained. The main difference between the rooms were the kitchen in the residence. Both were 1 bedroom with a door to enter the bedroom.
Lots of people here with kids because of the kids pool. Around the area is Paradise City which is across from the West Wing and it's a casino, has a mall and food court that was decent. Breakfast at the hotel since it's the weekend was on the 1st floor instead of the lounge, so the selection was big but not nice as say the IC Coex or Parnas. I think other complained about the breakfast in the lounge. The shuttle to the Hyatt is 3C, find 3B and 3A and go across the street to the islands, it's not next to 3B. At terminal 1 it comes at 5 and 35 past the hour. You have to book a time slot for evening cocktails on the weekend and even book pool time but there was plenty of spaces right now.
Check in was easy, no skipping the line for Globalist cause once you get off the bus, it's a mad dash to check in. Got upgrades for both days and breakfast, can't complain. The only reason why my wife doesn't want to come back is because it kinda smells like jet fuel around when walking around the area, maybe it isn't jet fuel but something is funky, like smokey in the air at night, not sure if I will notice it again tonight.

Jet fuel - that's something new.
