I just checked out. Spent a couple hours sorting out my day, changed my plans, and just left.
I used to stay there quite often--back when they had outstanding sushi at the restaurant--but now it's not worth it with their dining options.

In all fairness, their rates are often half of the Regency's. It's a crappy hotel, but is adequate for a layover or if a flight gets cancelled. But yes, I think I got my second Brand Explorer award here

Staying here for a one-nighter on a Saturday. Website and emails clearly say no shuttle service to/from ORD on weekends, but I called in to double check and they said it is running with a frequency of every half hour. Was told to call the hotel when I land, but it shouldn't be a problem.
Will report back on my experience and stay soon.

Quick feedback on a one-night stay I had this month:
khabah
- Explorist, booked and received a king room. No suites at this property.
- Aside from being annoyingly next to the elevator, my room was on the sixth floor and was perfectly adequate. Furnishings were in good shape, everything was spotless and the rooms are actually quite spacious.
- Offered complimentary bottles of water from the fridge at Networks on the lobby level. Restaurant closed and no options to eat on-property.
- Some guests were communicating to one another via shouting obscenities across the hall in the middle of the night, but a quick call to security put that problem away.

Is the restaurant open? What time does it close?
Is the casino restaurant open across the street, and is the food decent?
We are arriving late on a Thursday and will need to grab dinner. Also I want breakfast Friday morning. If no food here there are many other options.

Stayed here one night when I arrived from BWI. The stay started out poorly with an issue with the shuttle and the CS on the phone. I called upon arrival and collection of luggage to confirm the door number (told it was Door 1,) and times (:15 and :45 after,) and thought I had just missed as I arrived about 6:16pm at door 1. However, the shuttle drove by at 6:18 and didn't stop. So, I called and explained the situation requesting that since he had to loop around anyway and would drive right by the shuttle pick-up area, that he pick me up. He hadn't stopped at door one the first time, and the CS agent who answered the phone started arguing with me claiming that the shuttle had stopped at door 1, but I told her that wasn't true. She went on to say he couldn't stop as he had customers in the shuttle and that he would be back at 6:45pm as "he's always on time." Not true either, as he finally arrived at 7pm. No apologies were offered, and he almost ran into the back of another car, prompting me to remember to always buckle up as both my carry-ons and I went flying.
The hotel is OK, well really just mehhhh, but the breakfast was good and the price for the stay was reasonable. Since I got the Hyatt badge, probably won't be staying there again.

I needed a room in Chicago after the AA meltdown. I also needed the Hyatt brand badge and Rosemont was also ~30% cheaper than HR ORD or the HP ORD.
I was checking in 30 minutes after making reservation on my way the the ORD shuttle center. Top floor was given and my request for a 4PM checkout (as Explorist) was immediately granted. The room was both clean and quiet and the wifi strong, that is all I really needed on this stay as I worked remote on my surprise layover. As I was hotel captive I had three meals on property and enjoyed all, breakfast and some dinner entrees a bit overpriced. Dinner was a fairly expansive menu with limited service, breakfast was diner standards menu with counter service, and lunch was refrigerated grab and go. I was told dinner went until 930PM and breakfast service started at 6AM.
My room was identical to the photos in post #100. Bathroom tile could have used a bleaching and the corded phones seemed out of place. The hotel was using generic key cards and envelopes as well as Hilton pens so I am not sure this one is much longer for the Hyatt flag.

Just hit this property to check off the badge on a trip through Chicago. Price was about $110 a night, and that is probably about the most it should sell for.
Cons: Cheapest rates are all non-refundable, very dated and generic property, 45+ minute wait for shuttle from ORD, "upgraded" room was just a top floor standard king. Do they even have suites?
Pros: Extremely good breakfast burrito, good location for PACE, CTA, airport connections, helpful staff

I stayed at Rosemont in early July after getting stuck at ORD due to irrops. I have always stayed at the HR ORD, which I really enjoy, though they were sold out for the night night in question and I figured I would give Rosemont a shot.
Overall, it was a meh experience. The shuttle was tiny and I somehow managed to grab a seat, despite a huge number of FAs also trying to jam into the shuttle at the same time. I had an earlyish departure the following morning and had to get a Lyft as the shuttle didn't start running before 0700 (iirc). Seemed very strange for an airport hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable, but that's about it. No upgrade as Globalist. It worked, but I likely won't stay here again unless HR ORD is full and nothing else nearby is available.

Have not stayed here recently but I think this is not a bad choice if you need late night food options. We made the mistake of staying in HR Schaumburg (as we were heading that direction the next day). The hotel itself was at least as nice as Rosemont but the food options were non-existent after 11pm. Even the local fast food (McDs) were closed. I think there is more open near the airport and at least you have the casino too. Missing the good old days when full service hotels all had 24/7 room service

Unfortunately, while there are many restaurants around the Hyatt Rosemont, generally they close at 9pm to 10pm, though McD's is open til midnight for drive-thru. Similiar situation around the HR Schaumberg, as Portillo's, Fat Rosie's, Giordano's etc .are all open until 10pm, also.
WRT Hyatt Rosemont, late night repasts are probably best accomplished again via late night delivery.
