timing of deduction of points on award stays
 

i recently booked an award stay for 2 rooms online. About 4 days later the points for 1 room was deducted from my account, but the points for the second room are still in my account. Am I just lucky, or will they be deducted later?

Has anybody had any experience with this?

In my experience, the points are taken almost immediately, particularly if you book online.

I'd double check that your 2nd room is confirmed; if they haven't pulled the points, then there may have been a problem with the reservation.

Remember to give them your Hyatt number when you check in for your award stay. Any charge on your hotel folio (as little as $1) will give you credit towards elite status for the award stay.

I have confirmed with the hotel that I have 2 award stay rooms.

About a week ago I made a couple of award reservations via the Hyatt website for stays this summer. The points are still in my account. Is this normal? When do Hyatt pull the points?

I booked 4 nights for GH HK for oct this year and it took about 10 days for the 60K to disappear.

did you ask for an email confirmation?
I always get one just o make sure they have booked everything right and have my diamond no in the confirmation.

Thanks. I did receive email confirmations. I guess that I just have to wait a couple of more days, not that I am eager to part with the points. Just want to be sure that everythine is in order.
