We enjoyed the lunch buffet of sushi, tempura, and other Japanese food. Skipped the crab legs which seem to be the main focus of most other diners. Was about $40 all in iirc

Looks like Katy Perry was staying at the Hyatt Regency over the new years. Wonder if she got the atrium suite -_-

Strange that she would pick this hotel out of all the options in Tokyo

Maybe she needed easy access to the Tocho to be an extra in Shiina Ringo's Kohaku performance.

My fiance has her on Instagram and showed me one of her "stories" that she posted of her walking into the front doors.

There are several reasons one may choose to visit this hotel without actually staying.

I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. I was put into one of the renovated rooms, which for me resembled an Andaz property rather than a HR. Really nice room, very clean. The lounge was underwhelming as most have mentioned, but that wasn't a huge deal (at least not for me). Breakfast was ok, but nothing that I partook in beyond having some coffee and juice and a croissant.

I'd say that this hotel is excellent value for money at least.

Any pics of the renovated room? Stayed there last month and I'm hoping the room we stayed in wasn't renovated yet, because it felt dated. Floor 20.

There are a few different room types.... renovated at different times, but none very recently. Still prety decent though.

Just look at the Regency Club rooms. That's what a renovated room looks like.

Is it worth splurging 5000 pts to get club access for the breakfast in the morning for two?

For one night stay? No.

Just head down the street to Royal Host for breakfast.
