2002 GP Credentials Out Yet??
Last year for some confusing reason I never received my Diamond packet (just a card mid year). So, I thought I'd check to see if anyone has received the 2002 packet yet.

Not yet... I e-mailed a few days ago and they said it would be in the next few weeks.

i got my new card about 3 weeks ago and I am in OZ!.
But I didnt get the usual silver certificates with the suite upgrades and the 2000 bonus miles cert for dining etc. I did get the booklet though. Anyone know iif we will get the certs this year? I usually get them after I have stayed somewhere I could have used them! |
Received my Platinum package today. Contains the following coupons:
- Earn 2000 bonus pts for weekend stay - Earn 5000 bonus pts @ Hyatt Resort - Platinum "Extras", choice of: RC or BP upgrade, OR Comp Amenity, OR 1000 pts for dining - UA 50% off companion certif - Up to 12000 LH bonus miles - Dbl GP pts for Avis/Alamo rental Except for car rental, they all expire 30 June 2002. |

Did any of you get any upgrades etc?
we got a suite upgrade good till dec. |
Got mine Saturday 3/2. Kind of disappointing. As a diamond, I have an opportunity for a suite upgrade (most Diamonds can get the same upgrade by calling the rooms exec in advance of the stay); or I can get 5000 bonus points for staying at a resort for five nights (translation: Spend about 1-2K with us and we'll give you bonus points).
I also don't find 50% off companion fare coupons to be of any value, like the one they enclosed for UA. I mean, they're nice, if you have a friend that wants to pay Y or B, but they're also available if you apply for a credit card with First USA. I suppose the Lufthansa bonus coupon is nice for those who use the airline in biz class regularly. Last year's Diamond packet was better. Come on, Hyatt, you can do better than this. |
