Does 2/28 - 3/1 count?
 

Just wondering checked-in at Hyatt Palm Springs on 2/28, will check out on 3/2, will one night still count towards the Faster Free nights?

FWIW, I had checked out of the Hyatt on 1/1/02 and the night of the 12/31/01 was counted as a stay in the current year rather
than the last.

Good thing they are kindly extending Diamond status for me this year gratis, in that I only would have earned Platinum, and only that since I really appreciated the offer to extend my Diamond status and made a special effort to patronize them at yearend. If I did need it as a qualifying night, it might have been a hassle - but Hyatt customer service would hopefully also come through for you as well since they are very good! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Curiosly, it's now already 3/1, and I have yet to get my new Hyatt Diamond card. FWIW, my last years card was also "lost" at the front desk somehow during checkin when they had lost my reservation and I provided it at the Hyatt DC on Capitol Hill!

Perhaps my new SPG Plat and new Marriott cards will all come along together while I'm away today! I'm not worried! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I'm sure someone at Hyatt will have the definative answer, but I don't think so. I believe the stay is counted from the check in date. Thus in this case, if you checked in 2/28 your full stay would not be eligible. Now if you checked out on the 1st, and checked back in...that may work.
