Using NAN awards on one night

I have a 2 night NAN award left that I haven't used that expires 1/31. I am not going to be able to get away for the two nights, however, I could use 2 rooms for a one night stay with another couple. Has anyone had any experience in Hyatt GP letting you do this? I called GP and they said no. Called back and the second woman that helped me was unsure and was going to get back to me, but doesn't sound promising.

Any experience?

Same situation the year before and was also told "NO" end up just staying one night.
