Comping is only for a few months. Any chance to be re-comped!? ;-)

Not according to my info. You get comped for the remainder of the status year, plus the next. Thats what GP staff told me.

I got comped Diamond in October 2000 and my card expires in Feb 2002.

I got comped in July 2000 to Diamond only until Feb 2001. ;-(

Just asked to be comped platinum since I have Starwood Gold and Hilton Gold.

Hyatt gave me Diamond thru 2/2002!!!

I'm curious how that worked for you. I called and requested Diamond status based on previous postings that Hyatt would grant it based on being a United 100,000 mile flyer. The agent said no they wouldn't do that, but they'd match another hotel program's top tier, so I said great I'm a Starwood Platinum(which is their top tier) and she said they'd match, but I need to fax a copy of the year end statement showing the number of stays, etc. and they would not accept a printout from the internet.

Your experience sounds like it was very easy. Any suggestions. I was very friendly. Perhaps it's a "problem" that I'm already a Platinum in Gold Passport?

Just talked to Gold passport and they refused to comp my UA 1K status.. =(

I faxed a copy of my Platinum statement off of the Starwood web page to Bill Jones/Nicole P. and got my comp to Diamond.

I am Marriott and Starwood Platinum, as well as Hilton Gold.

I can prove it - however, only from eb site statements.

Can anyone give me the fax # to send these statements to and to whose attention - also, does Marriott Platinum (top tier) = Hyatt Diamond?
