well, i don't totally agree with you. it is true that i understand your disappointement if you had been confirmed an upgrade but i believe that in the hyatt policy all demands like " non smoking, high floor, view etc " are upon availibility. if everyone is asking for a non smoking room on high floor with a view and mainly if the hotel is fully booked, for sure some people won't get what they asked for!
