All hotels and resorts are trying to get away from this. Good in some ways, not good in other ways.

I'm really disliking those bottles showing up in hotels. I've started to buy my own so I don't have to deal with looking for a filling station.

My biggest grip is cleaning it. On a longer stay it's going to get pretty grubby unless you have a means to really clean the opening.

Are there fountain dispensers?
Do you know if you are charged the resort fee if staying on points?

Sorry for the late response; I missed this earlier.

No problems what so ever in signing up for the activities at the timeshare. We got everything we wanted to get. Generally I think we signed up that morning and sometimes even a couple of hours before the activity, e.g. fishing.

The time share side, including pools, were less busy than the hotel side.

Looks like HR Maui has renamed the Lahaina and Napili suites.

As an Explorist I was not charged the resort fee for a points stay. They did charge for parking (as expected).

Hyatt Regency Maui

I will be using points to stay 4 nights at the Hyatt Regency Maui in February. I have explorist status is there any chance they will give me a room with a decent view? I will also be using a free lounge access pass. Will they give me a room that is very close to the lounge? Thank you

The club in now in the lobby so no rooms are super close. The closest rooms would be in the Lahaina tower. As for what view you will get I would assume it would depend on the occupancy. February is very busy especially durning Presidents Day weekend. Good Luck!

I was there in early September as an Explorist. My seven day stay was an award stay (redeemed pretty much my entire account balance) and I applied a Club certificate. They gave us an ocean view room that we were very happy with.

As Maui4me1 said, none of the rooms appear to be near the lounge. But that didn't bother us at all.

2 p.m. but subject to availability. Otherwise I believe it is 11 a.m. Keep in mind this property is frequently fully booked.
