Yes. Too many good hotels in Bangkok to put up with roaches in the room.

Ended up leaving at 1:30am. Front desk didnt seem too phased.

Was expecting to see beetles or insects in Hua Hin (Barai suite was impressive) with the open air corridors - not on a high floor of a new premium hotel in a city .

Pretty pathetic response from the Asian flagship property. I'd never stay here after reading about this incident and this thread.

Your Bangkok experience will not be complete without an intimate encounter with roaches and rodents

Did they comp your last night/ anything as a recovery?

The e-concierge just used the same webui to request a reservation at Gaggan :\ - which I've already done. Was hoping the hotel had a bit more clout/alternative method

Email Gaggan directly. They strongly prefer to deal directly with guests.

Gaggan wasnt too difficult to get a table at last minute for us. We just gave them a email and they called us with a options for our few available nights.

I also had a cockroach in my room during my last stay at Athenee on the 26th floor

Fortunately I did not pay 500 USD for the room though!
