Napa, CA. New Hyatt? Re-brand?

We are headed to Napa for golf and dinner at Morimoto. It was suggested we stay at the Hyatt Napa. Client had heard Hyatt was taking over a local property. Anyone hear more? Thanks.

It is the Avia downtown Napa. It will not be part of Hyatt until September. I will be there in 2 weeks and report back.

Can anyone give me some details about this property and the Hyatt affiliation? I'm needing some rooms there in mid-Sept. Hyatt does not have it in their system yet.

It is favorably rated as AAA 4-Diamond property. Good reviews on TripAdvisor.

This is a nice newer property, in a way it is very modern looking on the inside. IMHO I could see it branding as an Andaz with no problem. Either way it's good news for a Hyatt in Napa.

I just looked at the Avia website for Napa and it looks like they will need to lower standards a bit to become a generic US Hyatt.

I'm just fishing for a date we can start booking. From what I can tell, the sale of the properties hasn't closed yet.
