Points to miles transfer
 

I asked this question a couple of days ago on the Promotions thread but received no responses.

HGP has the 5k bonus on transfers that expires at the end of the month. I am trying to decide if I want to transfer some points to get the bonus but don't know how often they have this promotion. Is this typical or pretty rare?

I don't follow the transfer to miles promos so can't really answer your question - my initial thought is that it's not a real regular promo (FWIW - not much).
