Hyatt Place Diamond Amenity Survey

I just received an email with a link to a survey regarding the Diamond amenity at Hyatt Place. I'm glad to know they are interested in feedback on this issue.

It was brief. Here is the text of it:

When you stay at Hyatt Place, what do you select as your Diamond Welcome Amenity?

I always select 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points
I mainly select 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points
I alternate between 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points and the assorted fruit and bottled water in-room amenity
I mainly select the assorted fruit and bottled water in-room amenity
I always select the assorted fruit and bottled water in-room amenity
I am not sure

We would like to know your opinion on the following amenity options. Please rank the top three:

Godiva chocolates
Selection from the bakery case
Upgraded in-room coffee with a complimentary Hyatt Place travel mug
$5 iTunes gift card
Flash drive
Upgraded bath products
Hyatt items (i.e. t-shirt, hat, mugs)
The current fruit and bottled water amenity
A movie credit
$5 food and beverage credit
$5 local restaurant gift card
$5 credit toward future stay
Drink coupon valid at Hyatt Place (alcoholic or Starbucks)
Airline in-flight perk (i.e. drink or food voucher)
Other
None of these items appeal to me

If one of your top three choices was offered, how often would you select the amenity vs. 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points?

I would always select 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points
I would mainly select 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points
I would alternate between the 500 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points and the in-room amenity
I would mainly select the in-room amenity
I would always select the in-room amenity
I am not sure

It looks like they are valuing the amenity at $5. I still think the points are worth more. I really wish they would offer a hot breakfast to Diamonds. The $5 food credit wouldn't even cover that.

yup, i just filled this survey out. In order, I listed:

Itunes gift card
In room premium coffee/complimentary hyatt travel mug
complimentary drink cert.

I always take the points now but it would be nice to sometimes have an alternative that was actually worth considering (the current alternative is not even remotely attractive to me)

The chocolate chip cookies are ridiculously good - as compared to all other non-point options.

I chose $5 off next stay, then a movie credit (like IHG Ambassador) and for 3, I manually inputted 1000 Hyatt points :D

I chose the first two plus the Hyatt schwag. The movie credit seems like good value since movies are generally $13+.

The value is what you're willing to pay for it, not what they charge for it :) Since I almost always travel with my own movies (and it's trivial to hook up the iPad or laptop to the nice big screen at Hyatt Places), I would not value a free movie at $13.

Time to look at my email for the survey :)

Why?

I have only stayed at a HP once, but I would like to see that they add hot breakfast. The Travelmug or T-shirt seems a little strange to me as a welcome amenity.

I frequently stay at HP, so I look forward to taking this survey (buried in my inbox )

Was it easier to navigate than the last Hyatt survey?
