Does Hyatt release "sales?"
 

I'm noob at Hyatt. I was SPG Plat and found their way of doing business wasn't for me so I recently switched my business.

About once a week, SPG would release a list of special discounted rates called "Starpicks" which I believe were properties they were either promoting or had lower projected occupancy rates then they wanted. They would, for a limited time, offer a lower, special rate for those chosen hotels during dates withint about the next two weeks.

Does Hyatt have that sort of listor put selected hotels "on sale?" Also does Hyatt do their version of IHG's Point Breaks or Hilton's Point Sale (offering stays for fewerpoints for selected properites?)

Hyatt doesn't discount award stays. They used to have "last minute" discounts on revenue rates like "Starpicks" but have discontinued that maybe 2 years ago.

Once in a while they'll do a Limited Time Offer (LTOxxx) rates that are pre-paid - sometimes they can be good for some properties - but not overall.

Hyatt promos have generally been on the "earn"side - stay credits, extra points, or the traditional big one (FFN - where 2 stays earned you 1 free night - both the stays and redemptions can be anywhere in the world).

Also once you've stayed at a property and they add you to their email list, they'll often email sales and promotions at that individual property directly to you. And good luck ever getting off those lists!
