Thanks!
Was diamond/globalist breakfast (assuming you qualified) offered in club only or is breakfast available at restaurant?

We recently spent 3 nights at this property. Overall, we were very favorably impressed. They still have to work out a few kinks, but overall service was excellent along with a very nice hard product.
Property
The Grand Hyatt consists of two towers: East and West. As best as we could tell the East tower is what had been intended to be the Baha Mar Casino & Hotel. It consists of regular Grand Hyatt rooms (floors 1-20) along with "The Reserve" which is a hotel within a hotel complete with its own private entrance across from the Rosewood lobby (not yet open), check in area, and lounge (floors 21 and up).
The West tower is the original Grand Hyatt tower. This is where the Grand Club is. The West tower lobby is empty at this time.
The Grand Hyatt is currently the only Baha Mar hotel that is open. SLS is expected to open this fall, followed by Rosewood next spring.
Room
Our suite was on the 22nd floor of "The Reserve" (it appeared this was the only "The Reserve" floor that is open at this time.) The suite was nicely furnished and featured lovely Acqua di Parma toiletries. From the floor plan it appeared that "The Reserve" is almost entirely suites, with maybe 2 or 3 non-suites on our floor.
Grand Club
Spacious with lovely views of the fountain and links. Its located on the ground floor of the West tower. Above average food and beverage options, with excellent service.
F&B
Only a few of the 20 plus planned restaurants are open at this time. Apparently, Katsuya opened this week and we are looking forward to trying it out next time. Food at the beach restaurants was quite good.
Service
Very good. Occupancy was quite low during our stay so it will be interesting to see what happens when the entire hotel is open, but virtually all staff seemed happy to assist and smiles abounded.
Overall, we would highly recommend this property. This property has the potential to become a terrific Hyatt resort.

I hope this property isn't badly damaged by Irma.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Review
Just got back from a 3 night stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar .
As a Globalist member, I was welcomed upon check-in and informed I had been upgraded to Deluxe Ocean View room in the East Tower. When I stayed there, only the East Tower was open, however the West Tower will be opening soon. The Grand Club is located in the lobby of the West Tower, and access is extended for Globalist members.
Getting to the property from the airport will run you around $25 in a taxi, which is only about a 20 minute drive from Lynden Pindling Nassau International Airport.
The Grand Club is open daily from 6:30am-9pm. Breakfast is served from 6:30am-10:30am, and appetizers are served from 5pm-9pm. The lounge is open throughout the day with soft drinks and bottled water. In the evening, beer, wine, and a decent selection of liquor is complimentary.

We are headed down for a long weekend with out the kids - does anyone have recommendations on restaurants either in the resort or in town? Are there any activities.amenities that must be booked in advance (excluding spa, tennis, etc.)?

Hi Everyone,
We're arriving at this resort early next week. Wanted to check to see if anyone stayed recently and had some helpful tips.
We were wondering about:
1. Airport transfers? Just regular airport taxi or shuttle recommended?
2. How's the occupancy level? All restaurants opened? Heard there was a bit of a turndown in tourists lately.
3. Is West tower open? I thought it was supposed to open in Nov. Are Globalists/Explorist being housed in the East tower? Any preference between towers?
4. Property map. Does anyone have property map with room maps?
Thanks!!

I'm confused. My concierge tells me a TSU books into a Grand Suite King and it's full when we want to go. I emailed the hotel to verify this.
I don't doubt them but I like to be able to check availability myself to see if it opens up.
I've checked a variety of dates for one night stays and multi night stays at the standard rate including well into the summer and no suites even show up.
I've asked my travel agent to check on their GDS and it also never shows suites.
Any one else had an issue with this?
