Question about Status Earning

I've got a quick question.

Suppose a no-status member accumulates 25 stays during January and February 2011. Is that Diamond membership valid until February 2012 or February 2013??

Its only going to be good until Feb 28th 2013, not the whole year.

Yes... I'm aware.

My roomate is "moving" to Salt Lake City for 2 months starting in January. If he hops between hotels, he'll qualify for Diamond status and have it for all of 2011, 2012 and the first 2 months of 2013.

He Doesn't have to hope around. If he's there for 2 months, he can qualify for Diamond based on 50 nights, better than moving around.

Yeah but after qualifying for Diamond, each additional stay = 500 points. :p

another good thing is that stays 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 ,24 will get platinum extras awards for 13,000 more points by jumping from hotels and if the hotels have G bonus even better, but your friend will be sick of changing hotels ..but it might be worth it.

I disagree. It's impossible to get sick of earning GP points. :p

Unless there is some sort of G bonus or other promotion, it's not worth it to jump around. Just my opinion.

I will agree with that if would to be qualifying on nights, unless there was some super cheap rate in another hotel in the area.
