Anyway, we all have different travel patterns and needs, so what works for me doesn't necessarily work for anyone else.

Online shows points and cash but no free nights.
The hotel is in Green Bay Wisconsin during football season. Thursday 9/14 shows available for points only, Friday 9/15 shows points and cash and Saturday 9/16 and Sunday 9/17 show no availability.
Since the Packers are in Atlanta on Sunday 9/17 I wonder if points might open up when they realize it's not a home weekend.

They opened up the dates for points and I was able to redeem my free night.
Thanks for all of the help.

Datapoint: I was just denied for this card. My credit score is 778 (TU) and 796 (EF). I had this card a few years ago and earned my two free nights bonus in December 2014 and used them in April 2015 and closed the card that same month. I'm currently at 9/24 (I know this card is supposedly not subject to 5/24). I haven't decided whether to call reconsideration. Any thoughts?

Keep in mind that as of 29 June 2017, two any category award nights will no longer be given as the sign up bonus with eligible spend. They are only giving 40,000 points.

Do you mean you churned in just 35 days? Is this possible? My understanding it need to be 24 months from time of cancellation. I may be wrong....

Read the wiki for Chase cards to understand the nuisance in applying a Chase card. It is the STICKY thread right on the top of the Chase card forum.

This is what Nehawk said:
So what is your question again about the 35 days again? And how it is even relevant in his case to reapply the card?
If you actually understand the nuisance, you would not ever have such a question the way you stated it.
