Set earning preference to miles
 

I want to participate in the American Airlines promo but I must be blind. I cannot find the place to set earning preference to miles at the Hyatt.com site. Can anyone point me in the right direction to change this?

You are not blind. There is no such option and you have to provide your choice and AA # each time at checkin.

I'm a rank amateur here, so I'll defer to those much wiser, but I've always had to either select miles at the kisok, or have the FD staff change the stay preference to miles at check in, I don't believe there is a global selection in the profile.

FS Hyatts usually handle this well, HP can be a bit of a challenge.

Make sure you register for the promo AA25K before your stays. You still need to request miles at checkin (or convert points stays to miles afterwards.)

Easier wait to have 5 stays, call GP CS have them convert it to AA get the 10K bonus at the same time :)

There is no such preference. You can tell the FD to do so but most of the times you have to call the CSR later.
