Diamond suite upgrade
 

This is my first time calling to have my room upgraded to suite. I was told that it's confirmed but when I checked my reservation nothing was changed. My 4 upgrades are still there. Is this normal?

No , it usually shows the kind of suite or there is a second room added to the reservation that you can see in My Reservations.

Also, your suite count should go down by 1 once the suite is booked.

I ask for a new confirmation of my room, showing that a suite has been booked. I also ask what the type of suite is. You can usually see on the hotel website what the different types are, so can match what you're told against that.

I only have 1 left of suite upgrade, can I use my friend's when I am out? have several nights stays overseas.

No, you can only use from your own account on your own bookings.

Is it worthy for my wife to get diamond challenge so we will get extra four? we will have 30 more stays before the year end. or can I add his name on my reservation?

My husband also has diamond status for this exact reason. However, I think that the fast track to diamond offer has been suspended. If your wife has top tier status on another program, she could have it matched by Hyatt. Otherwise, you have to decide if it is worth it to you to give up the diamond treatment and the points for the diamond amenity while she builds up her status. Having said that, if you and she are staying together, you could book using your status, then have her give her number on checkout for the room credit. You don't get points as the diamond amenity at international properties, so you wouldn't lose out on anything this way.

She is IC Platinum Amb, will try for status match so we will have extra certificates :)
