Hyatt Lisle -- $39 AAA this weekend! (5/30-5/31)

Anyone in the Chicago area this Sunday or Monday night looking for a mattress run: The Hyatt Lisle has a $39.20 AAA rate . . . and a G2 bonus! This is the cheapest I have seen at a "real" Hyatt in several years!

jschoi May 28, 2010 8:37 pm

Wow. Thanks for the heads up. I was already booked there so I rebooked at the lower rate. Love mattress running in the Chicago burbs.

this is when I wish phantom stays still existed

Same price for the Costco rate with $25 hotel credit... $14 net...

Thanks very much OP! Just switched a stay over from HP Hoffman.

Whoa, what about the incidental spend required for the credit, as it can not be applied to room rate, taxes, fees.

"$25 per-night hotel credit that may be used at the property on eligible charges posted to your room bill, but credit may not be used on room rate, taxes, gratuities, alcohol, service charges, and resort fees."

So, not $14 net.

jschoi May 29, 2010 9:06 am

BTW the $39 rate includes breakfast for 2. Had the buffet breakfast last week and thought it was pretty good. This is a great deal with the G2, .5 BWB credit, and another night towards diamond. Hope they decide to extend this rate to some weekends in June. :)

I'm happy that finding Hyatt nights around $50 in the Chicago burbs is pretty easy. Too bad finding a good mileage run out of ORD seems to be impossible these days.

ORDLEO May 29, 2010 9:23 am

Thanks OP.

Currently staying at the Hyatt Lisle on Friday on $63 rate w/Costco rate but not much option to use the $25 COSTCO credit since Breakfast is already included for diamond member.

Can you use it to buy stuff from the gift shop?

There must be a lot of MRers booking this already. Cheapest I see is $47.20 on a AAA rate for Sunday or Monday.

Yes you can. The front desk did mention this when I inquired about the $25 credit usage.

There are just very limited items on a shelf next to the front desk counter (not a real Gift Shop). You probably can get some sodas/water/candies. May be order some takeout from the hotel restaurant is a better choice.

eeee May 29, 2010 12:11 pm

Fare gone.

47.20 is now the lowest for Sun/Mon night

Fare? Isn't it a "rate"?

I booked it with the Costco promo this morning at $39.20...just a couple of days ago the same rate was $79.20. Last day they have G2 there, too.

bsdstone May 29, 2010 9:36 pm

Amazing find! I think I'll make the trip out there Monday night if the rate is still available! ^

ElmhurstNick May 30, 2010 8:58 am

Be careful with the Diamond breakfast - they don't have a coupon for it so they make you sign for it and then take it off the bill. The one time I stayed there the charge magically showed up on my credit card the next day as its own charge after I had zeroed out the balance.

What do you mean "zeroed out the balance?"

zacktravel Jun 1, 2010 2:03 pm

Anyone else do this one? I did it with Costco $25 credit, free b-fast internet, and dinner (paid for by Costco). Tip and tax took my total to $50.11 so I used a Costco Certificate and paid $0.11 in one dime and one penny. Add to it the 1W, G2, and 0.5 FFN, and it was an awesome stay :D

Thanks to Hyatt and Costco!

Yeah, maybe me too. And maybe my brother in ATL did it too.

You don't have to use the $25 for breakfast; they have good lunch and dinner as well.

OnAMileHigh Jun 3, 2010 11:35 am

I think maybe I did it too :)

I did a random search of weekend dates into the future and can't find anything like this rate. I assume this puppy is long gone?

335i Jun 3, 2010 5:05 pm

Lisle back on for $39 on 6/4 & 6/5

Wanted to thank the OP for posting this and also let everyone know the Lisle is showing $39 for this Friday and Saturday as well.

When I was maybe there I maybe talked to the front desk guy.

He maybe told me that the low rate appears on some slow weekends; they are located in a business area with most of their guests visiting BP (must be interesting right about now), Nalco, Aramark, etc. Unless there is a wedding or church function, they are dead on weekends. Even with the sub-$50 rate and $25 free food, they were only at about 60% occupancy.

For the last weekend of May, they put that rate on about Wednesday, and there's no way to get an alert, so you just have to keep watching.

In the future, I could possibly check folks in/out; send me a PM.

Dodoldurian Jun 4, 2010 8:30 am

I am book this weekend, hopefully they have one next weekend. :)

ctownflyer Jun 4, 2010 8:42 am

Yes, vanished in the last couple hours sometime. Same price Fri or Sat.

Looks like we killed the super-bargain. Now it's only a regular bargain.

Some of us are getting together for beers around 7:30 or so. Look for a tall guy with glasses, devastatingly handsome, in the bar or restaurant. That's me.

JFKSFOLAX_friend Jun 4, 2010 12:13 pm

Just cxl my booking for Saturday night...perhaps it will pop up on hyatt.com.

Darn, I'm flying this weekend so I guess I'll miss my opportunity to buy a beer for the guy that sorted through 491 Chicago DO registrations. You could probably use a few rounds of shots as well after that ordeal. :)

498 now. Just about to slam the door on registration.

And yes, I will hoist a few tonight.

I think you got second to last spot *cheers to my fellow procrastinator*

I will be at Hyatt Lisle arriving late tonight.

zander86 Jun 5, 2010 5:50 pm

Just arrived. Looks like they are having some wedding or formal function at the hotel.

Just arrived myself; anyone want to grab a beer?

gomike Jun 6, 2010 7:51 am

Anyone here on the Costco rate? When do they apply the $25 credit or do they have to be reminded?

335i Jun 6, 2010 10:21 am

The Costco $25 was automatically taken off my bill when I checked out. No need to mention it to front desk.
