How do I block the annoying map?

Just hate seeing the useless map to come up again and again.... And also waiting, waiting, and waiting for it to load....

I do know the locations and could absolute care less that someone in the website development team, if Hyatt has one, came up with this terrible idea.

SPG briefly had one also but gave in and now it is optional. Is there way to use ....... etc to make this piece of crap to go away?

Are you saying that you added the filter and cannot log into Goldpassport?

Not the filter - but I haven't been able to use Firefox to get into Goldpassport in a month or so - been going through AOL.

I hope they don't remove the map I use it all the time. I can set up my weekly schedules in large cities and hop to hotels close to my claims.

I had a problem a little while ago when for some reason my User ID had disappeared from my profile. I used my Account # to log on and just added it back in (and edited my saved user names/password in the firefox security preferences). It has been working fine for me ever since.

Oh, and as for the map issue... I don't really mind it that much, I just click the spot in the corner (where the "close" button is) as soon as it pops up (don't need to wait for it to load) and it goes away in a jiffy.

I thought I was the only one unable to use it on my Firefox for awhile too.

Works again - after I dumped the Goldpassport & Hyatt cookies - the only site that does this to me.

You might want to try this tip to remove your Hyatt cookies automatically when you close your browser. There's no downside to doing this -- not like goldpassport.com is going to forget stuff that's in your profile (CC information, for example).

Thank you for your tips - I'm not a techie - but seem to be a wunderkind compared to tech staff at Hyatt.

Once you have stayed at Hyatt's for 7 to 8 years you know by heart where they are. I have zero need for a map.

But it would be great if it could be optional. Stored in your preferences.

I could be helpful if it was scaled properly - otherwise all the properties in an area are "clumped" together - example Florida.

Thank you very much for the tips :)
