hmmm, why would you mention this? curious. unless it is for the brand badge.
Stay credits are irrelevant ever since Gold Passport has gone. |

. (But what difference would it make for the brand badge? For the brand badge, a single one-night stay would be as good as a four-night stay, wouldn't it?)
no difference, i was only relating to the term „stay“, irrespective of length. |
I had an award stay in Dec 2024, however AwardWallet is notifying me that my points will expire in September (last activity before my award stay was Sept 2023). I don't see anywhere obvious where it shows point expiration. From what I've read award stays should count as activity - anyone can assist with this?

Trying to book 5 nights points stay at a Hyatt Cat 1 property and use my club access or GOH. The first night doesn't show regular cheapest points rate, it shows Regency club room at 7k points.
From 2nd till the 5th night, it shows cheapest standard award 5k points. Can I book the first night , regency club room as a separate reservation which includes club access and from 2nd till 5th night, book the cheapest standard award separately and apply the GOH. Call Hyatt to combine the 2 reservations in to one and save 8k points? If they are able to combine to one, I may get GOH benefit during my check in? Thank |

The GOH is valid for 7 nights anyhow, so no harm in booking all nights in 1 reservation and apply the GOH to the first night as well. The GOH theoretically also gets you the (albeit small probability) of getting a suite upgrade. GOH is not only valid for club access.
Or are you mixing up GOH with Club Access Award? The trick is book the cheapest standard award that has no breakfast, upgrades or lounge access and then apply for GOH or club access so you get those benefits like breakfast or upgrade etc. The property only has regency club room award on first night only. from 2nd till the 5th night, they have the cheapest room at 5k points a night. maybe book the first night and pay 7k for club room. book 2nd till 5th night separately with the cheapest 5k a night rate with no benefits but apply GOH so I get the chepaest rate but upgrade and breakfast. And then calling hyatt to combine both reservations in to one ? |
I just finished 2 reward stays in Scotland. One of them has the nights posted but zero points (I had plenty of hotel charges that should earn points right?. The 2 stay posted 2 of my 3 nights but not the 3rd one. Doesn't Hyatt combine all the nights into a single stay even if they are booked seperately? Again no base or award points have posted. Shouldn't they have posted by now? Checkouts were Aug 13 and 16.

Resort fee treatment for Globalist and/or GoH? Closed club lounge - will hotel sub?
This one - I have so many different information, from different agents, Hyatt social media team, hotels front desk - no consistent response.
We have stays booked at an Orlando Hyatt (HR Grand Cypress). 1st room booked with points, and 2nd room is a Guest of Honor booked with paid rate. As far as resort fee: one phone agent said that 1st room is waived, 2nd is not. another phone agent said that both rooms are waived. Hyatt social media team (through X) stated that resort fee is waived on both points and eligible rate stay - but no elaboration of what eligible rate means. So which one is correct? Also - on HR with closed lounge, is there a compensation for it? I have lots of club lounge passes that are really not useable - especially on US HR hotels. |
Both should be waived.
Cheers. |
