Any current offers for status?

Hello all.

I will be staying at a couple of Hyatts in the next twelve months, and was wondering if there are currently any schemes whereby I can start higher up than the ground level. I am aware that Hyatt will often status match, which might be the way to go. I also have Amex Platinum, which - as you all know - can get gold status on some of the other programmes.

I've only stayed at three Hyatts before, simply because most of my travel is in Europe, where the brand is less common than Hilton and Starwood as far as I can see.

Many thanks for any advice.

Some Hyatts offer you a room upgrade, breakfast, special amenity + late checkout when you book through Amex: http://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/meetings/...ine-hotels.jsp

I'm not aware of any offers that boost you to Platinum/ Diamond in Europe.

Thanks!

And to clarify: the Hyatts I'll be staying at in the next months are in the US.

If you have elite status with HHonors, you can try to contact with Hyatt GP to get status match. Pls. let us know the result.

any idea if this would be recognised on a points stay?

and if once you've done it a status match is still possible at a later date?

planning a stay at bali GH next month on points (rest of stay at IC) and it would be nice to get some special treatment.

i could prob do a status match from IC Royal Ambassador but if i'm not likely to stay much in hyatts this year (very limited in Oz and I'm pregnant) might not be worth wasting it?

No - GPCS is very clear that it's 'once in a lifetime'.

Since http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyatt...2-31-10-a.html has been "announced", I'm going to lock this thread since otherwise we'd have two threads running concurrently on the "same" issue.
