Your area needs more hotels. An overpriced westin is not enough.

Definitely...

I have been wanting a Hyatt FOREVER! There was talks that it would anchor the Flatirons Mall at one point...

The Renaissance and the Omni do well, because there is no competition...

Anyone care to speculate which brand this will be? That is good news, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it makes it to completion.

Hyatt is really forcing the issue with Hyatt Place and wants to grow the award-winning brand asap, so without knowing the area at all ( ) , I guess it will become a HP.

My money is on HP, also, given the $9M price tag on the pdf file. But as a parent who has spent plenty of weekends in hotels for youth sports tournaments, a HSS might position them to book lots of weekends throughout the summer months in addition to business stays during the week.

Sounds good. How far along is it? A 2010 opening would be great. I didn't see it on the link that someone posted in the "HSS at Denver Airport" thread.

Pretty close...

I only noticed it, because it is pretty far along. It definitely LOOKS like a hotel, not just a structure! Woo Hoo!!!
